There are many devices that track sleep, but if a big wristband makes it hard for you to sleep, you might prefer a contactless choice like the Amazon Halo Rise ($139.99). The Halo Rise is meant to sit on your desk. It tracks the time and stages of your sleep without you having to wear a tracker. It does this with an invisible radar sensor and machine learning. It comes with an app that makes it easy to understand your sleep data and gives you advice on how to sleep better.
The Halo Rise wakes you up in the morning with a loud alarm and a light that gets brighter like the sun. Since it doesn’t have a microphone, you also need to buy a different Amazon Echo device that works with Alexa. The Google Nest Hub, which costs $99.99, tracks more overnight data like snoring and coughing, has a voice helper built in, and is cheaper, but the Halo Rise is a good choice for Alexa fans who want to sleep better and wake up to a brighter room.

Amazon Halo Rise: Design
Despite appearances, the technology may make it difficult to fall asleep or increase the frequency with which you awaken. Because to the Halo Rise’s small footprint, my wrists, head, and ears no longer have to brush against my nightstand. My bedroom has a 6.7-inch white disc that displays the time automatically and is supported by a stainless steel pedestal.
The Halo Rise was as easy to set up as the manual claimed. We made sure the device was at head level next to my bed so that it could accurately record my sleep patterns. The remaining settings were adjusted via the Halo app. With its low-power sensors and “hours of training against sleep lab-tested polygram data,” the Halo Rise can learn your sleeping habits without the need of cameras or microphones. Sleep-tracking
Your most recent night’s sleep will be summarized on vAmazon, including the amount of time you spent asleep and the quality of your sleep. You’ll get a note with the results that either praises your hard work or encourages you to chill out for now. For example, we used the Rise’s recommendation to unwind after getting only two hours of sleep as an excuse to put off doing anything productive or strenuous for the remainder of the day. Getting up to an inaccurate time on the smart display of our Google Pixel phones was a common occurrence, but this way was more reliable.
The Amazon sleep tracker is one of the few that includes time to sleep as a metric for total “nightly performance.” This disturbs us because in the hour or two before bed, when we could be trying to sleep, we instead spend time doing things like browsing Reddit or playing games.
Price and availability
A summary of your most recent night’s sleep, including the time you were asleep and how well you slept, will be shown on Amazon. Along with the results, you’ll receive a note that either commends your efforts or tells you to relax for the time being. When the Rise advised me to relax after only two hours of sleep, for example, I used it as an excuse to avoid doing any work or physical activity for the rest of the day. The smart display on our Google Pixel phones often showed the wrong time when we got up, but this method was more accurate.
Amazon’s sleep tracker is unique in that it also measures the amount of time it takes you to actually fall asleep as part of your overall “nightly performance.” This bothers us because, while we may browse Reddit or play games in the hour or two before turning in, we don’t really count that time as an attempt to get to sleep.
Final Words
Even though the Amazon Halo Band and the Amazon Halo View are good sleep trackers that you wear, I think the Halo Rise is a good way to track your sleep without touching you. I don’t have anything against wearable sleep watches, but we’ve talked to enough people who find it uncomfortable to wear technology to bed.
When you consider that Halo Rise also has a sunrise alarm clock that can suggest changes to the environment, it’s easy to see why it’s one of the coolest sleep tech items to ever hit the market.

FAQS
The Halo Rise, on the other hand, is a sleep tracker that you put next to your bed. It uses low-energy sensors to study your breathing, movements, and room environment to give you measurable information about your sleep. If you don’t want to wear tech to bed but still want to track your sleep, a sunrise alarm clock is a good option.
By sending out and receiving an ultralow-power radio signal, the Halo Rise can detect movement and breathing. This lets it figure out how long it takes you to fall asleep, how long you spend in each sleep stage, and how often you wake up during the night, which is called a disturbance.
