Audeze is one of the relatively few brands in the world of audio gear that can be immediately associated with the word “quality.” When you purchase an item from Audeze, you should have a certain level of anticipation due to the company’s stellar reputation for producing planar magnetic headphones and earbuds. Due to the fact that planar magnetic earbuds are still a largely untapped market in the audio hardware industry.
The Euclid planar magnetic earbuds manufactured by Audeze are somewhat unique. Given the company’s history and the fact that I have used the company’s other headphones in the past, it is safe to say that we went into my encounter with Audeze’s first closed-back planar magnetic earbuds with very high expectations. Of course, they are not the only planar magnetic earbuds currently available on the market.

Audeze Euclid: Design

We don’t know what else to say because we can’t think of a better word right now. The shells are made of milled metal, and compared to most other IEMs, they feel very solid and heavy. In fact, we only have one other IEM with a similar build: the Ikko Obsidian, which feels like real Obsidian cut rock, but I’m getting off track.
Even on its own, The Euclid is a great book. The way it looks is also nice, with black and gold touches everywhere. We think the artistic style and tone of the whole thing are meant to make me feel fancy. You can this earbuds from its official website
Audeze Euclid: Features
Even though the Euclid ear tips are light and well-made, they are probably a bit bigger than what you are used to. That’s because Audeze put an 18mm planar magnetic transducer in each one, which needs a bit of room for itself and the technology that goes with it.
The voice coil that makes the sound is in the ultra-thin Uniforce transducer. It is supported by Audeze’s unique Fazor wave guides, which prevent phasing and distortion that you might expect from a closed-back in-ear design. Fluxor magnets reduce distortion even more, improve awareness, and keep frequency response as even as possible.
Audeze Euclid: Connectivity

You don’t need me to tell you that this is a lot of money for a pair of in-ear speakers, even if they have complicated parts and can be used both wired and wirelessly. Some of our favorite wireless in-ear headphones cost about a third of this price, so Audeze must be offering something special with the Euclid.
Sound quality
First of all, the general frequency range and range of these earbuds sound controlled, making for a clean and precise sound. It shouldn’t be a surprise that earbuds at this price point have a clean sound that doesn’t try to push your audio in a certain way. If it did, you’d be a little annoyed. But with a frequency response of 10Hz to 50kHz, the soundstage is very wide and has enough room and quality to let almost any type of music shine.
Audeze Euclid: Performance
First of all, don’t expect Euclid to turn your laptop’s audio output into a silk purse from a sow’s ear. With these earbuds, your source player’s flaws will stand out even more, so be ready to do the right thing. And by “the right thing,” we mean a good digital audio converter (DAC) and good digital audio files. Of course, if you use the Bluetooth receiver cord, you already have a 24-bit-resolution DAC.
Price and availability
The general tone of the sound is what makes the planar magnetic IEMs different. Even though they are pricey, these buds are almost the most accurate and precise ones on the market. Trying to compare these to any other earbuds or IEMs is hard for me. Planar magnetic earbuds are so rare that most people have probably never used them and probably never will. It’s hard enough to tell you to buy earbuds that cost $1,000 or more without being able to compare them to something else.
Final Words
You could be let down if, for the not insignificant amount of money, you’re anticipating sonic explosions to go along with them. On the other hand, the Audeze Euclid is nothing short of fascinating if you want the most accurate, insightful, and realistic rendition of whatever you put into it.
