Table of Contents
The Bang & Olufsen Beosound Stage is a high-end 3.0 system. This one-of-a-kind soundbar is made of high-quality materials and can be turned so it sits up on your table or faces out when mounted on the wall. It sounds a little bit boxy and lacks low bass right out of the box. But its powerful companion app has a graphic EQ and presets that let you change the way it sounds.
It also works with Dolby Atmos, but to play it, it has to downmix to stereo. Depending on how the bar is set up, your mixes might sound a little limited, and it doesn’t have a room correction feature to help make the sound better. On the plus side, it has a lot of wired and wireless inputs and connections. This is a good option if you want a setup that looks high-end and performs in a variety of ways that you can change.

Bang & Olufsen Beosound Stage review: Design
![Bang & Olufsen Beosound Stage review](https://compsmgnew.robertdweide.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Capture-418-300x132.jpg)
The Beosound Stage is full of B&O’s design traits, which is a testament to how unique those traits are since B&O didn’t design the outside of the speaker at all. Norm Architects, a third party, took on that job. They were inspired by the old B&O Beogram 4000 turntable.
But even in the natural aluminum and black color scheme of our review unit, which is cheaper than most of B&O’s products, the Beosound Stage is beautiful to look at, with perfectly rounded corners and controls that fit together perfectly. You can buy this sounbar from its official website.
Bang & Olufsen Beosound Stage review: Sound Quality
The sound quality of the Beosound Stage is great. Whether you’re streaming your favorite songs or listening to the soundtrack of a Marvel action movie, the sound is silky smooth and captures and plays back the full range of frequencies with ease.
Most soundbars have trouble with deep, low-end bass, which is why so many of them come with a wireless subwoofer. But the Beosound Stage’s four 4-inch woofers, which are powered separately and grouped in pairs, give you a lot of thunderous bass without the need for a sub.
Bang & Olufsen Beosound Stage review: Connections and Control
![Bang & Olufsen Beosound Stage review](https://compsmgnew.robertdweide.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Capture-419-300x100.jpg)
All of the connections on the Bang & Olufsen Beosound Stage are hidden behind a removable cover in a recessed area on the back or bottom. There is an HDMI 2.0 output that supports eARC, which we were able to test with my LG 77C9, and a single HDMI input that can handle 4K HDR and Dolby Vision but not HDR10+.
Even though the soundbar is expensive, the lack of HDMI connections is a letdown. But because it has an enhanced audio return channel (eARC), you can connect lossless sources directly to it and send the lossless audio back to the Stage through the HDMI output if your TV also supports eARC.
Bang & Olufsen Beosound Stage review: Price and Release Date
The Besound Stage came out in 2019 and costs £1250, $1750, €1500, or $2,000 CAD. The Beosound Stage Smoked Oak version of the soundbar is also available, but it costs even more at £1700.
Final words
The Bang & Olufsen Beosound Theatre is a beautiful high-end Dolby Atmos soundbar that comes with everything you need. It has the most dynamic attack we’ve heard in this category so far, and it will probably last longer than your next TV (or two). Some of the best things about it are how clear the dialogue is, how deep the bass is without a subwoofer.

FAQS
How do I connect my B&O stage to my TV?
Connect the LAN cable between the TV and the TV input on the Beosound Stage (marked with LAN). Go to the LG TV content store, download the Bang & Olufsen app, and run it. Follow the steps on the screen. You will be asked to turn on the TV again. Use the LG remote to do this.
Why are Bang & Olufsen speakers so expensive?
B&O’s prices are so high for a good reason. This is because of how much it costs to make, the high-quality materials it uses to make its speakers, the sound quality, and the brand name it has built up over the years.
Are Bang and Olufsen speakers worth it?
Short answer: YES. The Bang & Olufsen brand is now an international design icon that is known all over the world. It is known for its high-end quality speakers, headphones, and sound accessories, and athletes, musicians, and other creators love it.
