Canon ImageClass MF743Cdw review: Design

The MF743Cdw is quite heavy at 64 pounds, so it takes two people to move it. It’s big, measuring 18.8 by 18.8 by 18.4 inches, and you’ll need space above it to open the scanner lid all the way. The document feeder is on top of the unit. To get to it, you lift a hinged cover that serves as the document feeder’s input tray.
There is also a 50-sheet bypass tray that can be used for different things. To use it, you fold down the front panel. The output tray is a hole in the front of the machine that can hold up to 75 sheets. The MF743Cdw is supposed to print up to 4,000 pages per month.
The large 5-inch colour touch screen on the control panel makes it easy to use the machine on its own. Like a smartphone screen, you can swipe to move icons. You can make on-screen buttons for key functions like scanning and copying presets, copying passports and ID cards, and printing templates with the touch screen. You can buy this printer from its official website.
Canon ImageClass MF743Cdw review: Features
The Canon Color imageCLASS MF742Cdw is a high-quality, low-maintenance printer that is ideal for small to medium companies. Canon minimises energy usage by printing on both sides of the paper and fitting many pages onto a single sheet, and by using double-sided printing and multi-page printing on a single sheet in conjunction with improved fusing technologies and low melting point toner.
The 600 x 600 dpi scanning and copying resolution supported by the multifunction device ensures crisp, high-quality output, and scanned files may be converted to a number of formats, including high-compression PDF and searchable PDF. Copy speeds of 28 ppm for Letter-sized documents and 22.9 ppm for Legal-sized documents are also very fast and impressive.
The 5-inch colour touchscreen’s smartphone-like usage makes for an easy learning curve, and the device administrator can tailor settings to make routine chores easier for users. The Canon Print Business app enables a number of mobile printing options, and compatibility with Apple’s AirPrint technology means that the device may be used with a variety of iOS devices
Canon ImageClass MF743Cdw review: Print Quality

Text printed with the MF743Cdw looked very sharp and dark. When text documents were printed from an Android phone, the letter shapes looked just as sharp. Grayscale graphics had a lot of detail and smooth changes between midtones, but they were too light overall. The HP M277dw, on the other hand, made the same images look too dark.
The colour graphics on the Canon looked sharp and well-saturated, but they were also a little on the light side overall. The colours looked natural and well-saturated, and the textures and changes between midtones looked smooth.
But when we printed our test PDF from a Windows 10 computer, the text boxes with a black background came out a different colour than the background around them, which came out grey instead of the same black colour. This didn’t happen when I printed in colour or grayscale from my Android phone.
Canon ImageClass MF743Cdw review: Scanner
From the top down, the printer has an automatic document feeder (ADF), a scanner, and a paper cassette. The automatic document feeder, where the documents to be scanned or copied are put, is on the top of the printer. The flatbed scanner is under that. It can scan either one side or both sides of a sheet or book.
If you don’t need to print, remember to close the scanner lid that stays open by itself. The paper tray has sliders to keep paper from getting stuck and to fit different sizes of paper. And the space in front of the fuselage is the output tray, which can hold 75 sheets.
Canon ImageClass MF743Cdw review: Price
The Canon MF731Cdw is the only colour laser all-in-one printer that we’ve discussed so far that doesn’t include automatic duplexing or the capacity to scan two-sided documents without requiring involvement from the user. Auto-duplexing automatic document feeders (ADFs) save a lot of time and eliminate a lot of monotonous work, and the additional $50 to $100 that they add to the cost of the printer is typically money well spent.
Final Words
The Canon Color imageCLASS MF741Cdw is a great choice in our list of the best home printers for a home or small office that prints photos, documents, and graphics often, or for a tech geek who needs the best of everything. At 26 simplex pages per minute and 6 seconds per full-page colour photo, this printer can make high-quality text and images very quickly.
It has a simple, easy-to-use interface, and its running costs are low for how well it works overall. Its biggest problems are that it is huge (64 pounds) and expensive to buy at first. But if you don’t mind the size and think this printer is a good fit for your needs, you can’t go wrong with this machine
