The Corsair K70 RGB OPX is deserving of consideration as a top contender for the title of best gaming keyboard. It’s a full-size board, replete with 105 keys and a media bar that’s dedicated to it, and it connects to your computer via USB-C. This particular iteration of the K70 goes for proprietary microswitches rather than normal mechanical switches. These microswitches use a hybrid of mechanical and optical technology to provide a lightweight feel that is quieter than standard switches and significantly more accurate than membrane switches.
In spite of its sub-$200, sub-£200, and sub-AU$300 price point, the Corsair K70 RGB OPX keyboard has a fast polling rate and Doubleshot keycaps, giving it the sense of a quality product. It costs about the same as many other gaming keyboards I’ve used over the years, but it outperforms quite a few of them in terms of performance and provides a significantly better experience in terms of both its appearance and its feel.

Pros:
Corsair K70 RGB OPX: Design
My review unit of the Corsair K70 RGB OPX was white, which makes it stand out from the sea of black gaming keyboards on the market. It’s a full-size gaming keyboard with a media roller and media keys on the top right. As assumed, there is iCue RGB lighting that can be dimmed with a certain button to be as bright as you want when gaming.
The metal frame is one of the stronger-feeling backboards, so if you’re a heavy typist or like to pound the keys when playing games, you should be fine here. A braided USB-C cable links the keyboard. This cable doesn’t drag or pull.
Setup and features
A braided USB-C cable that is sufficiently long to effortlessly wrap around our L-shaped desk and conceal the keyboard within the desk itself. On Windows, you simply needed to plug it in, and the operating system recognized it almost immediately. On macOS, everything was the same. Each time we use a keyboard made by Corsair, we are thankful for the buttons that are simple to push and the cool knob that we can use to manage the media. After using the Corsair K70 RGB TKL Champion Series Optical-Mechanical keyboard for a few days, we can say that although the larger versions of the keyboard have programmable keys, the smaller versions do not.
Corsair K70 RGB OPX: Switches and Keycaps
When membrane-equipped keys were replaced by keys with mechanical switches, the world of keyboards for gamers changed for good. Then came optical switches, which used light instead of metal contact points to turn on or off. Corsair, a big name in computer parts, has been on the cutting edge of optical-mechanical buttons, which combine the best of both worlds. The £180 K70 Pro RGB OPX has all of these switches and offers real performance for gamers who want to cut as much latency as possible from fast-paced games.
RGB lighting
The K70 Pro RGB OPX comes in black or white, and its body is made of anodized aluminum with a brushed finish. It has a full set of keys, as well as media keys, a volume roller, and quick control buttons for RGB. It is 444mm (L) x 166mm (W) x 40mm (H) (including the wrist rest), and it has 100% anti-ghosting and full-key rollover.
Price and availability
The only thing that prevents it from winning the very best award is the hefty price tag, as it has many attractive features, such as 8 MB of internal memory, outstanding build quality, clever cable routing, and a beautiful layout. Corsair, if you could get the price down to less than £140, the K70 Pro RGB OPX would immediately become more appealing.
Final words
A excellent professional-grade gaming keyboard with a strong frame and keys, the Corsair K70 RGB TKL OPX Optical-Mechanical Keyboard is available from Corsair. It offers more space on the desk, more ergonomic gaming, and all of the crucial controls right on the keyboard where they belong. This is everything you could want in a tenkeyless gaming keyboard. You will have every possible advantage in a tough fight thanks to its astoundingly quick polling rate of 8,000Hz and its 1.0mm actuation point optical switches.

FAQS
The Corsair K70 RGB PRO is an excellent gaming keyboard. It has a very low delay, which makes it good for competitive games. The linear Cherry MX switches also have a short pre-travel distance, so pressing the keys feels light and quick.
Go to “Lighting Effects” below the list of characters to change the effects. What’s going on? Then click the plus sign next to the “Lighting Effects” title. Then, at the bottom of your screen, you can change the RGB effect to any of the choices they have.
