Garmin Lily review

The Lily is the smallest smartwatch/fitness tracker Garmin has made so far, and it is the company’s first model made just for women. Starting at $199.99, it has a beautiful, patterned face and a 14mm band that is much thinner than most smartwatch bands, so you can wear it with other jewellery. The Lily is more than just a pretty watch. It can keep track of your blood oxygen level, calories burned, energy level, heart rate, breathing, sleep, steps, stress, and sports.

It also has more standard smartwatch features like alerts from your phone, controls for playing music, and different widgets. It doesn’t have a colour display, an always-on screen, and a few other things that Garmin’s Vivoactive 4/4S does, but it costs a lot less. Even though it’s about the same price as the Fitbit Versa 3, the Lily is a great choice if you want a fitness-focused smartwatch that’s stylish and won’t break your budget.

Design and Screen

Garmin Lily review

People who care more about fashion will choose the more expensive Garmin Lily Classic Edition. It has a band made of Italian leather, a bezel and fixings made of stainless steel, and simple designs on the lenses. The Sport Edition from Garmin has a rubber band instead of a leather one, and the hardware is made of aluminium instead of stainless steel. The lens designs on the Garmin Lily Sport come from nature, while the Classic has a classy X pattern. You can buy this smartwatch from its official website

Garmin Lily: Smartwatch features

The Garmin Lily is not an alternative for the Apple Watch Series 6 or the Fitbit Versa 3. Even though we like the way it looks, the screen is smaller than any other tracker we have used, and it’s taking me a while to get used to it.

Still, for $199, the Garmin Lily could be a good choice for someone who has never owned a smartwatch before or for someone with smaller hands who wants a stylish watch. It looks nice and is easy to use, and its small size won’t get in the way of anything else you wear on your wrist.

Fitness and health tracking

Garmin Lily review

The Garmin Lily is all about wellness, and the watch can track a number of different exercise metrics. Garmin says that the Lily’s two most important features are its ability to track your period and your pregnancy, which go hand in hand. The first one is used in devices and even some smartphone apps. On the other hand, you can find this feature in other Garmin watches, such as the Venu line. It’s good for pregnant women who want to keep track of things like their blood sugar levels and when their baby is moving.

Garmin Lily: Battery life

Garmin says that the Lily tracker can be worn for five days, even if it is worn overnight to track sleep. So far, we have found that the choices for the screen have the most effect on how long the battery lasts. At maximum brightness, we lost more than 30% of my battery life in one day. However, when we used auto-brightness, the rate at which the battery died slowed down.

When the battery on my Garmin Lily is running low, we can charge it with a clip-shaped charger. Garmin doesn’t say how long it should take to charge, but my review unit went from dead to fully charged in less than 2 hours.

Price and availability

It also lets you make mobile payments with Fitbit Pay, works with wireless headphones, has better music options, and apps you can download. Of course, no other watch has more apps and features than the Apple Watch, but even the cheaper Apple Watch SE, which starts at $279, is much more expensive than the Lily.

Final Words

The Garmin Lily is not an alternative for the Apple Watch Series 6 or the Fitbit Versa 3. Even though we like the way it looks, the screen is smaller than any other tracker we have used, and it’s taking me a while to get used to it.

Still, for $199, the Garmin Lily could be a good choice for someone who has never owned a smartwatch before or for someone with smaller hands who wants a stylish watch. It looks nice and is easy to use, and its small size won’t get in the way of anything else you wear on your wrist.
