Honour is launching another launch in the UAE after severing ties with Huawei, following a launch in which the company was initially successful with the Honour 70 and the Magic 4 line of smartphones. This time with a new smartphone aimed at the middle-range market that is guaranteed to attract attention thanks to its svelte build and the configurable star ring matrix design that is reminiscent of its more expensive sibling, the Honour Magic 4.
The X9a 5G, which is priced at AED 1,299 for the 256 GB version and AED 1,199 for the 128 GB version, is decreasing the gap between the X9 5G and the Honour 70, which are priced at AED 999 and AED 1,599 respectively. Honour is strengthening its position in the UAE market by having a phone in each price group. This time around, Honour is putting a strong emphasis not only on the design and construction quality of its products, but also on bringing high-end displays into this market sector.

Honor X9a: Design and Display
The Honour X9a’s design is both sophisticated and eye-catching. Because of its sleek design and rounded corners, this smartphone is easy to hold and feels high-end. The device’s rear is made of glass, giving it a sleek, expensive appearance and contributing to its overall design. The back camera module is tucked away in the upper left corner, where it looks clean and adds a contemporary feel to the design. The ports and buttons are arranged in a way that is comfortable to use.
The Honour X9a’s display is one of its most impressive features. The AMOLED screen is [enter display resolution] in size, and it has vivid colours, deep blacks, and great contrast. The AMOLED technology provides realistic colours and sharp images, making it great for watching videos, playing games, and surfing the web. You can buy this phone from its official website
Honor X9a: Camera
The main camera on the Honour X9a 5G has a 64MP sensor, and it’s joined by an ultrawide 5MP camera and a 2MP macro Camera. While Samsung’s A73 and Xiaomi’s 11T Pro, two of Honor’s primary competitors in this market sector, both feature telephoto cameras, Honour clearly didn’t prioritize the camera on this handset.
Nowhere in the camera settings or elsewhere on the phone can you adjust the camera’s resolution, and pixel pinning is also absent. You’ll be stuck with the camera’s default setting of 64 megapixels.
Performance and Usage
Both the HONOUR X9 and HONOUR X9a 5G are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 system-on-chip. It also has 8GB of RAM standard, with an additional 5GB available via the HONOUR RAM Turbo function. How effectively it functions in the end may depend on this. Internally, it contains 256GB of storage space, double that of the 128GB model. Although it may be similar to its predecessor, I find that this version is far superior. The HONOUR X9a 5G probably has a more up-to-date operating system than the X9, as it uses Android 12 and the newer Magic UI 6.1.
There is a noticeable improvement in performance, and it just appears to work better overall. Most applications can be left running in the background, allowing us to rapidly switch between them. Most Android users uninstall unused programs because they believe doing so frees up precious storage space on their devices. However, on the newest Android 12 devices,
Honor X9a: Battery Life
The X9a’s battery life continued to be one of its most impressive features. The 5,100mAh battery is a (small) step up from what we are accustomed to seeing in the middle of the range, and it typically lasts for a full day and a half before any warning lights begin flashing. When it came time to charge, the X9a made quick work of the process thanks to the 40W wired charger that came standard with the device. If time was of the essence, fifteen minutes of charging was all that was needed to maintain an acceptable level for the device for the foreseeable future.
Final Words
The Honour X9a 5G, available in 128GB and 256GB storage capacities and costing $1,299 and $1,199 respectively, is a fine mid-range smartphone. The phone’s screen is gorgeous, so you won’t mind spending a lot of time using it for media consumption. In order to stay under budget, some amenities will need to be removed; in this case, cameras.
Honor X9a review: The good and The bad
The cameras on the HONOUR X9a 5G aren’t terrible by any means, but they are obviously not up to par.
The Good
- Thin and light design
- Powerful battery and fast charger included
The Bad
- UI design is dated
Questions and Answers
x9a This is a great privilege. This phone, the Magic 5 Lite 5G, features a drop-resistant glass screen just like the kunmun glass seen in the Huawei Mate 50 Pro. If you enjoyed this video and would like to see more like it, then subscribe and follow me on Twitter.
Our testing shows that the X9a can withstand fall from 5 feet onto hardwood, ceramic tile, and concrete without suffering any visible damage to the display. It’s important to point out, though, that the phone’s strengthened glass just covers the screen.
