IQOO 9T review 2024: great performance

This year’s iQOO 9 line-up is big. We have the iQOO 9 and the iQOO 9 Pro, as well as the 9 SE, a version of the 9 for China, and now the 9T. The iQOO 9T looks great, and it takes design cues from the iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro that were released not too long ago. The review unit we received was in the Alpha colour scheme, which expertly separates the phone’s two-toned finish (a shiny back carbon fibre gradient and a matte black, sandstone-like texture) into distinct zones.

The phone’s construction is also top-notch, though its 206-gram weight may put some people off. IQOO 9T: Camera

With a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN5 sensor with OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 12MP portrait lens, the iQOO 9T is equipped with a powerful triple camera system. Photos taken with the primary sensor have sufficient detail and sharpness but suffer from slightly oversaturated colours. However, the camera’s dynamic range and exposure calibration are both sufficient, so highlights and shadows will be rendered accurately.

IQOO 9T: Software

The IQOO 9T adds some much-needed horsepower beneath the hood, making it appealing to creators as well as gamers. Both the technology and the design of the IQOO 9T are geared more towards power users than they are towards casual consumers. On the other hand, the IQOO 9T isn’t quite up to the level of being considered one of the finest Android phones because there have been some problems with the software and there have been some availability concerns.

The phone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 top processor, which is paired with 12GB LPDDR RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. On top of that, the smartphone has the Vivo V1+ SoC for better picture processing and frame interpolation. We put Apex Legends Mobile on my phone and set the best graphics quality and fastest frame rate to raise the bar. We wasn’t surprised by what the machine did in the end because the game worked well on it. After that, we tried a few more games, like Call of Duty Mobile and Asphalt 9. They worked pretty well. I did notice, though, that after 15 minutes of playing games for a long time, the device started to get hot. Now, I can’t say it was very hot, but it was still warm enough to feel.

Final Words

India’s smartphone market is one of the most competitive in the world. For a device to stand out and get people’s attention, it has to be really good. In some ways, the iQoo 9T does this, but in other ways, it does the opposite.

It has great cameras, a long-lasting battery, a great screen, and more than enough power for most chores. The device lets itself down in small ways, like with ads in the alerts, bad thermal management, weak haptics, and fit and finish problems.
