The over-ear headphones were Kokoon’s first foray into the realm of sleep headphones. While we commended them at the time for being easy to wear, the design of the headphones meant that they weren’t actually all that great for sleeping with. Kokoon later developed in-ear headphones that were more suitable for sleeping with. Kokoon went back to the drawing board and came up with the Kokoon Nightbuds.
A pair of in-ear buds that were far more compact and lightweight than their predecessors and could be worn comfortably while sleeping — even on your side. When you combine this feature with the one-of-a-kind capacity to play whatever music you choose while you sleep, the Kokoon Nightbuds appear to be among the most capable sleep buds now available on the market.

Design and Build

They are also well made. The soft “prongs” on the silicone earpieces fit snugly against your head and keep them in place all night. Even if you move around a lot during the night, they won’t move, and they’re thin enough to be comfortable no matter how you sleep.
The Kokoon app looks just as good and is just as easy to use. It’s easy to connect the buds and choose your favourite ambient noise. To help you fall asleep, you can combine sounds like soft rain, white noise, or a crackling fire with a calming guided meditation, coaching session, or “storyscape.” You can buy this earbuds from its official website
Kokoon Nightbuds: Features
They’ve already made the Nest Pillow, and now they’ve made a pair of small, sleep-monitoring ears with a bunch of features that help you sleep. The earbuds are linked by a thin wire that has a sleep sensor on the back of your neck. The sensor measures how well you sleep. This tracker keeps track of how you sleep and makes reports that you can look at with the Kokoon app. There are many different kinds of features in the Kokoon app, such as sleep exercises, white noise, and relaxing music settings.
Kokoon Nightbuds: Sleep tracking

The over-ear headphones were Kokoon’s first attempt at making headphones for sleeping. At the time, we liked them because they were easy to wear, but their shape didn’t make them very good for sleeping.
Kokoon went back to the drawing board and came up with the Kokoon Nightbuds, a pair of in-ear headphones that are much smaller and lighter and can be worn easily while sleeping, even on your side.
Kokoon Nightbuds: Performance
You can choose from a wide range of environmental sounds with the Kokoon app. Since the sounds are streamed from your phone instead of being stored on the buds themselves (like with the Amazfit Zenbuds), you don’t have to decide in advance what you want to listen to. Just swipe through the different choices until you find something you like.
There’s nothing as strange as Amazfit’s snoring kitten sound effect, but there are many versions on the theme of rain (rain on an umbrella, pavement, lake, window, and more), as well as a crackling campfire, whistling wind, and crashing waves. You can also choose pink, white, or brown noise, which is what we usually went for.
Price and release date
After a successful Kickstarter campaign, the Kokoon Nightbuds came out in December 2021 and can be bought straight from Kokoon(opens in new tab). You can buy the Nightbuds and access to the Kokoon app for a one-time payment of $199/£183 (about AU$280). This is a discount from the full price of $249.99/£229.99 (about AU$340). You can also pay an annual subscription fee of $149/£149 (about AU$210) and get a lifetime insurance on your device.
Final Words
The Kokoon Nightbuds are the most complete sleep-focused earbuds on the market in 2022, even though the sleep tracking could use some work. I’m sure Kokoon is working on this behind closed doors.
Even if you sleep on your side, they are easy to wear because they are small and thin. The eartips are so secure that sometimes they stay in your ear even after you pull the buds out. You’ll probably put them on and forget about them.

FAQS
Press the start button while your headphones are on. LED signs for batteries: Green: The battery is above 75%. Amber: Battery under 75%.
The Kokoon Nightbuds are small, comfortable to wear, and can play music from any app, not just the Kokoon companion app. The Nightbuds are great if you need to fall asleep to music or sounds, but they are a little pricey.
