As with the brand’s other GT phones, the Realme GT Neo 3 has a number of features that rival those of premium phones at a mid-range price. In this version at least, the most important feature is a 150W USB charger that can fully charge your battery in 15 minutes. The implementation isn’t very reassuring, and it’s a shame that the battery has been scaled back a bit as a trade-off.
The Realme GT Neo 3 has a 50MP main camera with a flagship-level Sony IMX766 sensor, which is also pretty cool. It would have been more interesting if we hadn’t already seen this part in cheaper phones like the Realme 9 Pro Plus and the OnePlus Nord 2T, but it can still take good pictures in a variety of lighting situations.

Realme GT Neo 3: Design

When you hold the GT Neo 3 next to its sibling, the Realme GT Neo 2, it feels and looks very similar. It is very similar in size, measuring 163.3 x 75.6 x 8.2 mm, and it weighs 188g, which is more acceptable. The main change is that the back panel isn’t as smooth as it used to be. Instead, it has a slightly textured finish. It’s still a little slippery, but this makes it easier to handle. With its new surface, the GT Neo 3 is also less likely to get fingerprints. Our model comes in Asphalt Black, but from some views, we could see a hint of green. You can buy this smartphone from its official website
Display and Audio
The screen on the GT Neo 3 isn’t the best on the market, but it’s not bad either. The 6.7-inch flat screen is OLED, has a frame rate of 120Hz, and works with HDR10+. In use, it looks really good. The colors are bright and punchy, the viewing angles are good, and the smooth movements show off the 120Hz refresh rate. Upgrades like curved sides, dynamic LTPO refresh rates, and better peak brightness are available on more expensive phones, but for most people, the GT Neo 3 will be more than enough.
Software and Performance

On top of Android 12, the Realme GT 3 Neo has a layer of software called RealmeUI 3.0. This is a custom UI that doesn’t bother anyone and feels pretty “vanilla.” It doesn’t mess with the layout of the drop-down menu like some versions of Xiaomi’s MIUI. The usual round icon shapes don’t look stiff, and the preinstalled wallpapers are mostly simple color patterns. Some apps, like a few bad games, three Amazon apps, LinkedIn, and the cheap shopping app Joom, may not be what you want. But all of them can be deleted the same way. Long press, tap remove, bye-bye junk.
Camera and Video
Three cameras are on the back of the Realme GT Neo 3. First of all, there is a 2MP closeup camera that you shouldn’t use because you’ll get better results by using the main camera’s digital zoom. The 8MP ultra-wide camera is much more useful, but it often has different colors than the main camera, which can be annoying. It tends to make the sky look much bluer than the main, and it can also make other shots look cooler or more purple. And like most 8MP ultra-wide cameras, picture details will look blurry as you zoom in, and the dynamic range isn’t as good as the main camera’s.
Realme GT Neo 3: Battery Life
Even though it’s a shame that our market won’t get the 120W charging, the bigger 5000mAh battery and 80W charging seem like a good trade-off. My daily use of the GT Neo 3 doesn’t even make it break a sweat, and we always end the day with 60% to 70% battery left, even though I mostly spent hours looking through social media and watching YouTube videos.
Price and Availability
The only 12GB/256GB version of the Realme GT Neo 3 that will be sold in the UK will cost £599 (about $750 or AU$1,040).
At this UK price, the Realme GT Neo 3 is in direct competition with the Pixel 6 and the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, but it is still cheaper than the iPhone 13 and Samsung Galaxy S22.
Final words
Even though the marketing for the GT Neo 3 is all about speed, this is a very well-rounded product. Sure, it’s fast, but that shouldn’t be a surprise since it has a 150W charger and a top chipset. But it has more to offer than that. It has a good screen, a cool design, and a good main camera.
Of course, it’s not perfect. Even though the phone looks nice, it feels a little cheap, and the extra lenses on the main camera aren’t as good as they could be. Some of the extra software can be annoying, and for this price, there should be at least one more Android update in the future.

FAQS
18 update Even while using the phone to write this post, the device heats up. After this update, I took off the cover and use it every day without a cover, but the heating problems are still there when using Snapchat, Twitter, and normal browsing.
Along with the main sensor, there is an 8MP wide-angle camera that gets good pictures. Realme has kept the edge blur to a minimum, and the colors it makes are close to what the main camera makes. You can use it to take rare landscape photos, but don’t expect too much detail from it.
