Lenovo Tab P11 Plus review: Design
Tablet designs have never been the most creative, and the Lenovo Tab P11 Plus is no exception. It is made of aluminum and rubber, which come together to make a design that is industrial and strong enough to get an IP52 rating. That means that most dust and drops of water can’t get into the device. I’ll take it.
I’ve found that tablets that cost less than $350 often skimp on the hardware on the outside, choosing glossier plastic finishes that make the tablet feel cheap and hollow in your hand. Let’s be clear: the Tab P11 is a multimedia tablet first and foremost, so it’s great for watching videos from any streaming service. If you want to quickly send an email through Gmail or type up a few documents in Google Docs, the Tab P11 will work fine. When things get really hard is when you try to play games on this tablet or run more than six apps at the same time.
The interface starts to slow down, opening apps takes a few more seconds, and even waking the tablet from sleep mode takes an extra 2–3 seconds for the screen to turn back on. The few simple games that were installed on the Tab P11 worked fine, but anything more complicated, like PUBG Mobile or even some of the car racing games, would start to stutter and run badly.

We’d like to see a better front-facing camera and the promised update to Android 13, but that doesn’t change the fact that, for around $300, this is the best Android tablet you can buy right now. Amazon’s Fire HD 10 is even cheaper at $149.99, and it’s a good alternative if you don’t mind that its interface and content are geared toward Amazon. The iPad, which costs $329, is also a good option, but the Lenovo Tab P11 Plus is a better fit for people who use Android phones and live in Google-centric homes.

The Tab P11 is great for spending hours watching YouTube or Netflix videos because the sound is good and the screen is surprisingly bright. The keyboard and stylus make the Tab P11 a good tool for taking notes, but the slow performance means that apps and games that require a lot of processing power will have trouble running smoothly.
