Lenovo is best known for making powerful desktop and laptop computers, but it also makes some nice tablets that can be used for work and entertainment on the go. The iPad seems to have most of the market share for tablets, but the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 is a strong competitor. The problem isn’t always that the hardware in Android tablets is bad.

More often, it’s the software, since Android is still better designed for smaller devices like phones than for tablets. The Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 is the same way. But Lenovo does a good job even though Android 12 has some limitations. The Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 is a breath of fresh air for someone who has mostly used iOS and iPadOS for more than a decade.

Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 review: Design
The Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 looks a lot like the first generation, but I have never used the first generation. The Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2, on the other hand, looks like an iPad Pro. Like the iPad Pro and most iPads these days, the thin aluminum body has flat edges.
The power and volume buttons, speaker grills, a microSD card slot, and a USB-C charging port are all on the edges. The screen is 11.2-inches wide, and the device is so light that it only weighs about 1 pound. You can buy this laptop from its official website.
Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 review: Screen and performance
The screen is also shiny and doesn’t get dirty easily. This doesn’t mean it won’t ever get fingerprints, but it shouldn’t be too bad if it does. We did see a lot of stuff on the screen of my unit, though, so we would still suggest getting a screen protector.
Since we didn’t get the optional keyboard case with my Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2, We have mostly used it to watch videos and listen to music. The high-resolution screen is great for reading, and movies and shows that support Dolby Vision and HDR10+ are clear and full of small details.
Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 review: Software
As for how the software works, it’s a lot like “stock” Android. It’s very basic and stripped down, which is what many people will want. There are a few Lenovo-made changes in the settings, but if you never looked at the settings, you wouldn’t even know it wasn’t a Google tablet. That’s probably why the company was chosen to test out Android 12L in beta.
Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 review: Cameras and Battery Life
The Lenovo P11 Pro’s battery is 8000mAh, which is the same size as the battery in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, which has a screen about the same size. As is typical for Lenovo tablets, it can play videos for a very long time.
It lasts 12.5 hours when streaming YouTube, which is a little less than Lenovo’s 14-hour claim but close enough to make it seem possible if you turn down the brightness or use a different app. On the other end of the scale, our tests show that the tablet should last about 5.5 hours of 3D gaming. The cameras are good, but the battery life is good.
Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 review: Pricing and availability
With the iPad’s popularity growing with each new version and Android devices still having software problems, this is going to be a hard road to climb. But the P11 Pro Gen 2 has a good price of $399/£349, which, along with its mid-range list of features, may be enough to sway some users in its favor.
Final words
In the review of the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2, the tablet gets high marks for its excellent OLED display with rich colors and 120 hertz, its convincing hardware, and other features that are usually only found in devices that cost much more. With the optional keyboard cover and the popular Precision Pen 3, the device becomes a real replacement for a mobile notebook.
