Overview
Lenovo Yoga 710 15-inch Review: Design, Specification and Performance: Until recently, you couldn’t find a premium 2-in-1 for under $1,000. However, the $750 Lenovo Yoga 710 15-inch is proof of how immediately that’s changing. For far less than a superb, this bend-back notebook punches over its price tag, competing with our favorite 2-in-1s, such because of the HP Spectre x360. The Yoga 710’s lovely display, responsive keyboard, and powerful performance make it an incredible large-screen 2-in-1 and a nice value.
Specifications
CPU | 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7-6500U CPU |
RAM | 8GB |
Hard Drive Size | 256GB SSD |
Operating System | Windows 10 Home |
Design
The Yoga 710 has a minimalist aesthetic with an all-black aluminum physique. The lid features a shiny Yoga logo in silver and Lenovo’s seal in gray, however, is otherwise plain. The hinges, which are silver on the 14-inch and 11-inch models of the 710, are a dark gunmetal gray. Starting the lid shows off the 15.6-inch 1080p display with an island-style keyboard, small bezel, and the trackpad.
Keyboard and Touchpad
I like the Yoga 710’s clicky and responsive keys. The y’ve 1.4 millimeters of vertical travel, falling just under our preferred 1.5-mm minimum, however, require a powerful 59 grams of force to actuate.
The keyboard was set a little farther back into the deck than I would have favored. However, I still found the typing experience to be extremely comfortable.
The 4.1 x 2.7-inch touchpad was responding to Windows 10 gestures and navigation, together with switching among apps with three fingers and swiping down to reveal the desktop.
Display
The 15.6-inch, 1080p display on the Yoga produces crisp, bright photos. When I saw the trailer for Wonder Woman, blue sea and the Green trees on the island of The myscira appeared lush and vivid. As Wonder Woman jumped via a window to surprise her enemies, I could make out every little shard of glass.
Graphics and Audio
The Lenovo Yoga 710 has a Nvidia 940MX GPU with 2 GB of VRAM. The Yoga 710 earned a score of 84,670 on the 3DMark Ice Storm Limitless graphics benchmark.
The speakers on the Yoga 710 15-inch are loud sufficient to fill a room. When I heard to Yellowcard’s “Your Denial, and For You,” the vocals sounded a bit hollow. However, the guitars, drums, and violin were all very clear.
Hardware and Performance
Armed with a 2.5-GHz Intel Core i5-7200U CPU, 8GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD and a Nvidia GeForce 940MX GPU that include 2GB of VRAM, our review configuration Yoga 710 will serve multitaskers properly.
At the Geekbench 3 overall performance test, the Yoga 710 received a score of 6,681, which is lower than the mainstream class average of 8,315. The Notebook 7 Spin (Core i7-6500U; 7,132) had a higher score, whereas the Spectre x360’s (Core i5-6200U, 6,376) and the Inspiron 15’s (Core i5-6200U, 6,499) marks were slightly higher.
Battery Life
The Yoga 710 continued for 9 hours and 19 minutes on the Battery Test, which constantly includes web browsing over Wi-Fi. No matter which place you keep it in, the Yoga 710 will stay good and cool.
Configurations
The Yoga 710 that we studied is a $750 configuration that features a 2.5-GHz Intel Core i5-7200U CPU, a 256GB SSD, 8GB of RAM and a Nvidia GeForce 940MX GPU with 2GB of VRAM.
For $1,300, you may get a model with a 16GB of RAM, 256GB SSD, Nvidia GeForce GTX 940MX with 2GB of VRAM, Core i7-7500U CPU and a 3840 x 2160 display.
Conclusion
Between its lovely screen, responsive keyboard, and strong performance, the Lenovo Yoga 710 is one for the Best 15-inch hybrids you can get for $1,000 or less. If you need one for the Best keyboards on a 2-in-1 and may trade a little battery life, you will save a lot of money by going with the Yoga 710, which offers superior value and usability.
