The LG Gram 17 Pro, which starts at $1,999, is a quiet beast of a laptop. This is what you hope for after LG put an Nvidia RTX 3050 graphics card into the 17-inch Gram’s thin black body. Simply put, no other big-screen laptop has this much power in such a small package.

LG Gram 17 Pro: Design
The LG Gram 17 Pro seems to work the same as the LG Gram 17, which makes sense since it’s about the same size at 14.9 x 10.2 x 0.7 inches. But this new Pro model is about half a pound bigger than the first LG Gram 17, which weighed 2.7 pounds.

The LG Gram 17 Pro’s big 17-inch WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600 pixel) 144Hz IPS LCD screen is one of the main reasons to buy a laptop this size, and we were happy to say that we could look at it for long amounts of time at home and on the go. If you’re like me, you’ll need to use Windows’ image scaling tools to easily browse the web at native resolution, but the big screen gives you plenty of room even when you’re working at 150% magnification. You can also turn the screen’s refresh rate up to 72Hz or all the way to 144Hz for a slightly better browsing experience and to play high-framerate games and videos, or you can keep it locked at a lower rate to save battery life.
Keyboard and Touchpad
The wide, roomy keyboard is one of the things we like about the LG Gram 17, and the LG Gram 17 Pro 2026 February: review unit doesn’t change a good thing. Again, there is a full keyboard with a number pad and big function keys. It’s not fancy or mechanical, but when we used it.

Since our Gram 17 Pro has a middle-of-the-road CPU and an RTX 3050 laptop GPU, it makes sense that it can’t run such new, highly demanding games at native resolution with all graphical settings turned up to the max.
LG Gram 17 Pro: Battery Life
The Gram 17 lasted a solid 12 hours and 2 minutes in our battery test, which involved surfing the web over Wi-Fi with the screen brightness set to 150 nits. That’s very good for a laptop with a big screen and a small size like this one.
It’s also a little less than the LG Gram 17 from last year, which went about half an hour longer in the same test (12:34). Since that type didn’t have a separate Nvidia GPU, it likely used less power to run. The LG Gram 17 Pro we tried last year (8:05) lasted a lot longer than the Dell XPS 17 (8:05) we tested the year before.

The LG Gram 17 Pro is available right now on LG’s website and in a few other places. LG calls it the LG Gram 17 Pro in some of its marketing, but its website and other places show that it’s just one version of the LG Gram 17-inch. At the time this was written, the $1,999 version was one of only two that included a separate Nvidia graphics card. For $1,999, you can get a 17-inch matte black laptop with a 13th Gen Intel Core i7-1360P CPU, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 4GB laptop GPU, 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and a 1TB SSD for storage.

The full keyboard and big screen make it easy to work and surf the web. When you want to relax, the screen and speakers make movies look and sound great.
