The OnePlus Nord 2T isn’t the most exciting phone of 2022, but it’s hard for a mid-range phone to be. Instead, this is a smartphone that is different from its predecessor in a number of ways. This makes it one of the best choices if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on a phone. The Google Pixel 5a can’t keep up with the Nord 2T.
It will be interesting to see if it can do the same with the Pixel 6a when it comes out in a few months. This Nord 2T is strangely a follow-up to the OnePlus Nord 2. It’s not clear why OnePlus chose the name “2T” instead of “Nord 3.” More importantly, this phone is cheaper than the one that came before it. It costs £369 in the UK, while the phone that came before it cost £399.

OnePlus Nord 2T review: Design
One of the most important changes is the way it looks. It has a similar feel to the OnePlus Nord 2 5G, but there are some big differences, like a bigger camera section on the back of the phone. This is the thing that has gotten the most attention from everyone we have shown the Nord 2T to, and it’s a look that has divided opinions.
From a distance, it looks like two big cameras, but these two big black rings contain three parts. The main camera is on the top, and the ultrawide and depth cameras are on the bottom. This looks like the Honor 50 series, which seems to be a popular choice for phone photos these days. You can buy this smartphone from its official website
Display and Audio
The 6.43-inch (20:9) AMOLED screen on the Nord 2T has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 and can refresh at up to 90Hz. This makes animations, apps, and menus scroll more smoothly than the normal 60Hz, which you can set the display to if you prefer it or want to save battery life. The auto-brightness settings on OnePlus are very good in this case.
Most of the time, they set the backlight to the right amount. We hardly had to change anything by hand. Some high-end phones and even some mid-range phones have screens that move at 120Hz, which look even better, but 90Hz is good enough here. Even with the screen cover that comes pre-applied, the screen gets plenty bright, and text looks clear and sharp.
OnePlus Nord 2T review: Camera
Even if we have to say it again, the OnePlus Nord 2T has the same back camera technology as the OnePlus Nord 2. This means a 50MP Sony IMX766 wide sensor with OIS, an 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP mono sensor.
You get the same 32MP front-facing camera as well. Again, though, the main monitor is the key. The Sony IMX766 has a huge 1/1.56″ camera, which is much bigger than we’re used to seeing at this price point, with the exception of the Nord 2 and the Realme 9 Pro Plus.
Performance and Battery Life
Even with all of this, this phone’s battery life is still very good. During a long day of trying the Nord 2T, I was able to use it for six hours of screen time. It just wouldn’t give up. There were many times when we didn’t have to charge my phone until the afternoon of the second day. When we tried to do our normal battery benchmark test with PC Mark’s app, it didn’t work. But you can be sure that this phone has a good battery life.
OnePlus Nord 2T review: Price and availability
The Nord 2T is one of the best mid-range phones you can buy, even though it has almost the same specs and performance as the older Nord 2. It costs £369 in the UK and from €399 in Europe for 8GB RAM/128GB storage. That phone costs £30 less, but it has faster charging, a new engine, and software support for an extra year. For £100/€100 more, you get 12GB more RAM and twice as much storage.
Final Words
The OnePlus Nord 2T is a great phone overall and a great deal. For less than £400/€400, you can get a sleek 5G phone with great battery life, very fast charging, a great main camera, and great speed. There are phones with 120Hz screens that cost the same as the Nord, but OxygenOS is still much easier to use than Xiaomi’s MIUI or Realme’s Realme UI.

FAQS
The only way to stop the phone from shutting down is to turn off 90Hz. The phone will still heat up, but not enough to shut down. We also use the OnePlus Nord 2 in balance mode, and it gets too hot VERY QUICKLY, even when I’m doing regular things like watching YouTube videos or making phone calls.
When you open too many apps at once, it’s normal for the device to get a little warm. Try to close apps that are running in the background. Click the button that says Recent, and then: Close a program: Drag the app up to the screen’s top edge. Close all apps: To clean up the list, click the button sign.
