OnePlus Nord N200 5G: Design
The Nord N200 feels and looks like a phone that costs more. It has a beautiful blue-ish, dark aquamarine-colored soft plastic back. The three cameras are in the top left corner, and they look a little bit like the section from the OnePlus 9 series. It’s nice to see that the design language for both types of products is the same.

The Nord N200 has an IPS LCD screen that has a resolution of FHD+. It’s a nice show, especially for the price, and it’s easy to use both inside and outside. Even though the LCD screen on the N200 doesn’t have the true blacks of an OLED panel, most people will still enjoy using it to look at photos, watch movies, or play games.
The display’s 90Hz frame rate has to be one of the best things about the Nord N200. There are phones that are stuck at 60Hz and cost a lot more than the Nord. That’s pretty cool, and it makes Android run as smooth as butter. OxygenOS from OnePlus is one of the better Android custom user interfaces, but it’s been getting more and more features in recent months. A lot of customization options and well-integrated features like “Gaming Mode” or “rolling screenshots” feel natural and useful, and the ability to run apps in parallel or encrypt only certain apps adds a lot of usefulness.
The N200 has a Snapdragon 480 system-on-a-chip (SoC) and a standard 4GB of RAM, which are good but not great. Overall, the experience is fast and smooth, but there are times when you have to wait for the video to load. Other phones have shown that the SD480 can hold its own, but because it has limited RAM, it has trouble processing and slows down when used for more than simple tasks.

In real life, the N200 makes videos that are good enough. The finished video of me walking has a lot of bouncing, so the stabilization could use some work. On the other hand, the video we took at the same time with the Pixel 4a was much steady.

A trade-in or a new line, T-Mobile will give you the phone for free. If you add a new line, Metro will give you the phone for free. From OnePlus, Amazon, and Best Buy, you can expect to pay the full $239 price, though there are sometimes deals. Canada also sells the phone. This model is not sold anywhere else besides North America.

The OnePlus Nord N200 is a lot of phone for the price, and it’s also the best 5G deal in the US. Even so, the latest phone from OnePlus isn’t perfect, especially when it comes to its photos. The secondary and tertiary lenses are almost useless, and the main lens on the Nord N200 has a hard time not blowing out its photos. The selfie camera isn’t very good, and the quality of the videos it records isn’t great either. The performance isn’t great, and OnePlus has chosen a bad way to release updates. Still, for $240, this phone was better than many of the things I thought it would be. It looks good, is well made, and has a good screen.
