We wrote a review of the $160 Roccat Vulcan 120 Aimo keyboard a little more than a year ago. I didn’t see how Roccat could make a better keyboard than that one, what with its beautiful design, comfortable key switches, and stunning lighting. It looks like Roccat couldn’t either, since the Roccat Vulcan 121 Aimo ($160) is almost the same as the old model. The Vulcan 121 Aimo looks the same, has the same features, and even costs the same as its predecessor, which I don’t mind at all. Who could blame Roccat’s designers for not fixing what isn’t broken.
As far as we can tell, the only difference between the Vulcan 121 Aimo and the Vulcan 120 Aimo is that the Vulcan 121 Aimo lets you choose between two types of key switches: a linear red one and a tactile brown one. Almost always, having more choices is a good thing. And since the keyboard is still beautiful and fun to use, we don’t see any reason to lower the score for the latest version, which is still one of the best mechanical keyboards on the market.

Roccat Vulcan 121 Aimo review: Design
I bet you’ve never seen anything like the Vulcan 121 Aimo unless you’ve seen the Vulcan 120 Aimo. This is because the key caps on this keyboard are very thin and sit on top of clear, raised switches. Other keyboards have recessed switches and keycaps that cover the whole key.
When the Vulcan 121 Aimo’s default RGB lighting is on, it looks like a rainbow is in between two thin black strips (the chassis and the key caps). This is a very striking effect. The lights are bright and colourful, and the body is sleek and thin.
The full-size keyboard, which is 18.2 x 9.3 x 1.3 inches, isn’t too big either. Part of the reason for this is that there isn’t an extra row of macro keys. This helps keep the price a little lower than that of competing RGB keyboards, which can cost up to $180. At the same time, it saves some space. If you use macros a lot, you can probably find a better keyboard than the Vulcan 121 Aimo for your needs. You can buy this keyboard from its official website.
Roccat Vulcan 121 Aimo review: Typing Experience
If you don’t know what a mechanical keyboard is, there are three main types of keyboards on the market today. The membrane keyboard is the cheapest and easiest to make, but it is hard to type on because the keys are so soft. Each key on a scissor switch keyboard has its own key-switching mechanism. This gives you a better tactile response and typing experience. Modern scissor switch keyboards can be very good for daily office use. Mechanical keyboards, like the ROCCAT Vulcan 121 AIMO, are the most expensive because each key is its own part.
Roccat Vulcan 121 Aimo review: Keys
The keys were Titan-switches. Each key has its own cover, which keeps it from moving to the side. This makes each keystroke feel strong and precise. Since the Titan-switch is used, Roccat says the keys are 30% faster than normal keys. I didn’t have a way to test this scientifically, but it seems to me that the keyboard is much more responsive than other keyboards.
For programming, though, I found it hard to tell the F-keys apart when my hands were in a normal writing position. This was because all of the keys are lower, making it hard to tell if you hit the F-key or one of the keys on the top row.
Roccat Vulcan 121 Aimo review: RGB Lighting
The most important thing is that we have to feed our RGB addiction! What kind of gaming setup looks good if the LED lights don’t have sick patterns? The exposed switches on this keyboard will help you get the most out of its LEDs. The LED system is powered by a technology called AIMO. It claims to use a system that learns from your play and changes itself to fit your style. You have to see it for yourself, but it’s definitely LIT. Swarm is the software that tells the keyboard what to do. Swarm is both easy to understand and hard to master. You can use the LED’s presets, but there is also a “custom” mode where you can make your own flavour. It has all your custom macro technology, so you can map your keys to your style. I had no trouble with the software and figured out how to use it in just a few minutes.
Roccat Vulcan 121 Aimo review: Performance
The Vulcan 121 Aimo, much like its predecessor, is capable of performing admirably in almost any game genre you can throw at it. This keyboard performed flawlessly for me in Overwatch, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, and Final Fantasy XIV. It didn’t matter if I was activating special abilities in a first-person shooter or micromanaging various battalions in a real-time strategy game; each of these titles ran smoothly no matter what I was doing. There isn’t much that can be faulted with this layout or the key switches because they are both sturdy and the arrangement is comfortable.
Roccat Vulcan 121 Aimo review: Conclusion
The ROCCAT Vulcan 121 AIMO is a premium mechanical keyboard that is not only easy to work with but also built to last for a very long time. Also, in comparison to other mechanical keyboards, it is considerably simpler to clean this one.
Those who are able to do so will find that the ROCCAT Vulcan 121 AIMO keyboard, which costs $159.99, is well worth the investment due to its solid construction and high level of durability. Although it is a significant investment, it is likely to be considerably more durable than an alternative that is less expensive.

FAQS
Please open Swarm, delete your profiles, and then make new ones to fix it. After that, all of the buttons should turn back on.
To clean the keyboard well, you should carefully take off the keycaps and rub them with a damp towel. After that, you can use a soft brush to clean the keyboard of hard dirt like hair or dust. A cotton swab can be used to get the finer dust out of the gaps.
