The new Razer Seiren V2 Pro is another Pro Microphone for the growing streaming and artist market. It is probably too good for your daily Zoom calls at work, though. No sir, this $150 matte black pill is made for the Pokemaines and Shrouds of the world, as well as you aspiring podcasters, YouTubers, and DJs. Most other people don’t need to apply, though, because getting the promised sound from this microphone takes a lot of tricks.
Even though it’s called “Pro,” the Serien V2 Pro isn’t a fancy XLR mic. Instead, it’s a simple USB condenser that you just plug in and use. It is a 30mm dynamic microphone that offers a rich, warm, and clean sound up to 96kHz sampling rate. It works fine on both PC and Mac, but to get the most out of it, you’ll need a Windows laptop with Razer Synapse.

Design and Features

The top of the pill-shaped Seiren V2 Pro is covered by a metal screen. The frame is black, and the smooth, eggshell-like finish looks sharp. When the mic is plugged in, the cable link keeps it from standing up straight. This is the best angle for most desktop uses. In this case, the mic and stand together are about 8.2 inches tall, and the base of the stand is about 3.6 inches in diameter.
Behind the screen, the mic has a 30mm dynamic capsule that can pick up frequencies from 20Hz to 20kHz and has a cardioid pattern. The sample rate goes up to 96kHz, and the bit depth goes up to 24 bits, so it is possible to send high-quality audio. You can buy this microphone from its official website
Razer Seiren V2 Pro: Software

The Razer Synapse programme lets you check out the mic’s built-in mixer. The mic is easy to use because it just plugs in and works, but the mixing is more for professionals. This gives me the freedom to do as much or as little as we want with my stream. It wasn’t easy to figure out how to use the mixer, and Razer doesn’t really tell you how to use it.
With the Stream Mixer, we can adjust the sound of the game, the microphone, the music, the voice chat, and the browser all separately, but in one app. With the click of a button, we can turn down the music or mute the voice chat at any time, which is very handy. It’s annoying that you have to open Windows Sound Settings to set up each audio source as a different channel, which is then used in the Mixer.
Sound Quality
The other is “Playback,” which lets you hear things that are important to your stream, such as the game music, voice chat, and any sound effects from the stream. Playback is helpful because it lets you listen to sounds that you don’t want to use in your stream. For example, the software doesn’t have a button for mic tracking. Instead, it’s in the Playback menu.
After you add an input using the steps above, you’ll see two scales. One sends the sound to the stream, and the other sends it to Playback. You can use Playback in this way to listen to a sound before sending it live.
Razer Seiren V2 Pro: Performance
We recorded it into GarageBand and compared it to other mics we’ve tried. Here, the signal is clear and crisp because the mic is better at picking up high-mid and high-frequency sounds than low-mid and middle sounds. This doesn’t make things sound thin or brittle, but even when you’re close to the capsule, you’ll get less low-frequency feedback from the mic.
We wish the mic’s volume knob for headphones was post-gain, but it’s not. This means that if you record into your computer using any programme and use the headphone jack for low latency, the signal you send to the computer doesn’t match what you hear.
Price and availability
Razer just updated its line of USB microphones, and the Seiren V2 Pro is made for producers, vloggers, and streamers. It costs $149.99, which is about the same as most of the other models we try. It has a high bit-depth and sampling rate, low-latency monitoring, and a clear, crisp signal. Razer’s Synapse software only works on Windows, which is a bit of a bummer since many people who make video use Macs.
Final Words
The Razer Seiren V2 Pro is a solid microphone, but it’s not worth the “Razer tax” the business sneakily adds to the price. There are several advantages and disadvantages to this microphone, but the fact that it can be made to sound well is the most crucial point. You can get a far better microphone for the same price, so there’s no point in spending $150 on this one.

FAQS
The best way to record sound with the Razer Seiren V2 Pro is with the top facing you. To do this, loosen the buttons that let you change the angle and tilt the microphone so that the top of it is facing you. Tighten the knobs again to keep the New angle, and talk into the top of the microphone.
