The Sport True Wireless are the first ever sporty wireless earphones from Sennheiser. This model, which utilizes the same drivers and sound settings as the flagship Momentum True Wireless 3, offers the durability, stamina, and sound quality to cause some of the greatest exercise headphones to perspire. But because they are fresh, these buds need to be trained in particular regions. We’re here with our Sennheiser Sport True Wireless review.
Depending on your pain threshold, the amount of comfort varies, and some of the sound elements don’t really work the way Sennheiser earbuds intended. Check out which of these products made our list of the top running headphones. And if you’re looking for a true steal, check out our selection of the top cheap running headphones.
Sennheiser Sport True Wireless review: Design

The CX Plus, the Sport True Wireless is bulky and blocky with little embellishments. The glass-like touch panels are removed to make room for a wholly plastic exterior. On the front, the logo for Sennheiser is embossed in rose gold. There are rubberized fins placed for more stability. These wireless earbuds are also splash, sweat, and dust resistant thanks to their IP54 classification.
The charging case is essentially identical to the CX Plus case, but there are three distinct differences. The lanyard can be looped through a hole on the side. Take note of the top-center gold logo. The built-in closure that covers the charging port at the back is another feature. In comparison to the Elite Active 4 and PowerBuds Pro cases, it is still bulky, but it is neither overly heavy or difficult to carry. You can buy this headphone from its official website
Sennheiser Sport True Wireless review: Comfort

Although it lacks some of the bells and whistles seen on TWS earbuds under 10K from rival Chinese manufacturers like Oppo and OnePlus, what it does provide is the assurance of superb sound quality mixed with unmatched comfort and fit. Of course, you also have Sennheiser’s popular app support, which makes way for some fun features. However, does it actually translate well enough in practise, and are the fit and sound quality really that superior to the feature-rich Active Noise Cancelling TWS earbuds available at this price point? In this review, let’s explore those and other things.
Sennheiser Sport True Wireless review: Connectivity

Sennheiser’s SPORT True Wireless headphones are the least expensive option in the company’s completely wireless selection for 2022, thus they inevitably have less features than other models. These earphones lack features like Active Noise Cancellation, multipoint connectivity, Qi wireless charging, on-ear detection, and more, whether you compare them to the Sennheiser MTW 3 or other earbuds in a comparable price range. You still receive a good number of features, which we will discuss.
First, Sennheiser has developed a function called Adaptable Acoustic that aims to complement transparency and noise cancellation settings. You get two distinct types of ear tips, as we indicated in the section above: closed ear adapters, which aim to reduce ambient noise, and open ear adapters, which should let you to keep aware of your surroundings while reducing body-borne movements like your own footsteps or breathing. To acquire the desired experience with the ear tips, this is combined with specialised EQ modes within the app – Focus for the Close ear adapters and Aware for the Open ear adapters.
Sennheiser Sport True Wireless review: Noise cancelling
The buds are perfectly pressed into the ears by the wing tips, er, ear fins, allowing very little room for the sound to escape. This is significant because, although the SPORT True Wireless lacks active noise cancellation (ANC), it would still be compromised by improperly fitting earbuds even if it did. As I discovered during my tests, a snug fit is best for running and physical activity but not so much for prolonged wear.
The similar problem happens when businesses claim that their clothing is 100% waterproof and 100% breathable. There isn’t such a thing; everything is either 100 percent waterproof or 100 percent breathable. The sacrifice must be made. The Sennheiser SPORT True Wireless’s comfort level “gives” when used for extended periods of time, which is okay with me because I need the earbuds to stay secure while running.
Sennheiser Sport True Wireless review: Audio performance
These fantastic-sounding sports earbuds are the result of much effort by Sennheiser. They boast patented TrueResponse transducer, 7mm drivers, aptX audio codec support, and many sound settings. The result is powerful, bright sound that is excellent for motivating workouts.
Before a run, the bass-driven groove of Rudimental’s “Spoons” gave me more energy. My eardrums were assaulted by the drums, and the sparse bassline had a strong reverb that gradually spread throughout my body. The same energy was carried over to Rag’n’Bone Man’s “Human,” where the forceful and well-balanced booming bass end made just enough leeway for the percussion parts and soaring synths to be heard.
Sennheiser Sport True Wireless review: Call performance
The Sennheiser sound profile is excellent on its own, but it can also be customized in a variety of ways. The first is Sound Check, a clever programmed that uses a listening test to automatically adjust sound to your hearing. Additionally, there is an EQ with customizable bass, mid, and treble adjustments as well as presets for seven distinct genres, including Rock, Pop, Dance, Hip Hop, Classical, Movie, and Podcast. Despite my prejudice, Sennheiser’s choice did not perform as well as my Sound Check setting. The midrange on my preset was the most well-balanced, while some of theirs (Dance and Hip Hop) nearly sounded identical to one another.
Sennheiser Sport True Wireless review: Battery and charging
In our standardised battery testing with continuous listening at a peak volume of 75dB, the Sennheiser Sport True Wireless earbuds lasted for 7 hours and 13 minutes (SPL). This helps the device last longer and is above average for wireless earphones.
Two extra charging cycles are available from the charging case. The earbuds and case take roughly 90 minutes to fully charge, and only 10 minutes of quick charging can play music for 60 minutes. Although there is no wireless charging available, the case can be powered with a USB-C connection.
Sennheiser Sport True Wireless review: Conclusion
Excellent headphones for exercising are the Sennheiser SPORT TW. You don’t need to be concerned about them falling out or getting harmed despite their size. They provide you a clear representation of the sound and can provide the ideal level of immersion or escape from the outside world while maintaining awareness. If you want a hassle-free, high-quality workout earphone that yet sounds great, I would strongly recommend these.
