Overview
Earlier today, Vivo introduced the launch of their mid-range flagship device. The Vivo V5 packs in an unprecedented 20MP front camera and wraps it with mid-level internals in a trendy metallic chassis. Vivo recently introduced an Excellent Selfie phone known as the Vivo V5. This phone has received a beautiful 20MP Sony IMX376 front camera with Moonlight selfie flash and focused fully on selfie lovers. Apart from the camera sensor, Vivo has also added some modes to beautify and deliver an excellent selfie experience. Vivo V5 has a metal unibody construction and comes in two colors Crown Gold and Space Grey. At simply 7.55mm Vivo V5 is pretty slim, and the curved sides make it simple to carry. The overall dimensions of the device go like 153.8 x 75.5 x 7.55mm.
Design and Display
The Vivo V5 appears like a regular slab of metal – the unibody design that we see too usually, and yet it doesn’t look bad. The metallic construction with a matte finish on the back and an engraved Vivo logo provide it a premium look, however, in fact, it doesn’t stand out. It’s slim, and the curved edges make it quite ergonomic to grip in hand.
The 5.5-inch display including Corning Gorilla Glass protection is sensible. It’s bright and vivid, the viewing angles are great, and it impresses, even though it’s a tad reflective and struggles in bright outdoors.
It comes with a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels providing it a pixel density of 267PPI which doesn’t sound to be that. Having a Full HD resolution with a 5.5-inch device is mandatory nowadays. And there isn’t any display protection talked about by Vivo.
Hardware
Powered by the 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 chipset with Mali 860 GPU, the V5 give up for the mid-level processor with a beneficent 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
The V5 also packs AK4376 Hi-Fi audio chipset that promises an immersive audio experience by providing a signal-to-noise ratio of as much as 115dB. It’s loud, and not rash, in the couple of songs I heard on it throughout my time with the device.
It has a 3000mAh non-removable battery. It’s adequate. However, the re’s no quick charging, yet the box contains a 5V/2A charger. Additionally, the phone contains a microUSB port for charging the device, whereas I would prefer USB Type-C on all smartphones going ahead.
