Quick Sections
The XGIMI Mogo 2 Pro is the new step-up model in the brand’s range of entry-level portable projectors. It takes the place of the highly likeable Mogo Pro+, which held that position before the Mogo 2 Pro was released. And despite the fact that it does not have the brightness levels of the higher-end Halo+, XGIMI has thrown just about everything else into making its new baby a must-have upgrade.
The Mogo 2 Pro has the potential to be an excellent portable projector thanks to its more powerful LED light source, its updated auto-focus and keystone correction system, its improved color performance, and its substantially improved acoustics; the question is, does it actually live up to its potential.

1. XGIMI Mogo 2 Pro: Design
Next SectionThe XGIMI Mogo 2 Pro looks the same on the outside as its predecessor, the XGIMI Mogo Pro+, but it is a bit taller (161 x 468 x 108 mm). The old projector’s battery is also gone from this new one.
We don’t think this is a big deal. Usually, batteries only last about as long as one full-length movie, and the light has to be turned down to make this possible. Since a projector is used most of the time near a power outlet, a battery does nothing but add weight and take up room. You can buyu this XGIMI Mogo 2 Pro from its official website
2. Picture Quality and Sound
Next SectionThe visual quality is where the MoGo 2 Pro really shines, and while 400 lumens might not sound like much, it’s more than enough. Don’t get me wrong, using the projector during the day or when there is a lot of light in the room will cause the colors to look washed out. However, a dark room brings forth the projector’s full potential.
It gets really bright, and the colors are vivid and distinct. Movie, News, Music, and Sport are the four visual modes available. The colors were the most vibrant in Movie mode, at least in my experience.
3. XGIMI Mogo 2 Pro: Performance
Next SectionThis projector has a 0.23-inch DMD DLP chip with a native image of 1280 x 720. XPR technology, on the other hand, lets the XGIMI Mogo 2 Pro show a 1080p picture. This moves the chip four times per frame, making an image with a better resolution from a chip with a lower resolution. Most DLP projectors do this, and it’s a pretty cool trick. In terms of sharpness, the result is so close to Full HD that you wouldn’t know the difference. However, this means that the projector can only run at 60Hz. Even when a Mac was connected to the screen, the desktop, apps, and smaller text were all clear and easy to read. The light of the projector is said to be 400 ISO Lumens. This is different from what XGIMI usually says, which is ANSI Lumens.
4. Fina Words
Next SectionXGIMI says that the MoGo 2 Pro was made with “busy urban professionals and young families” in mind. Because of this, the MoGo 2 Pro is much more of a home projector than the more portable options in its range. The lack of a built-in battery is a big downside for people who want a portable projector, but the lower price makes it appealing for people who want a solid choice that doesn’t cost as much as the Halo+. It’s a good update because it looks a little bit different and has smart projection features like avoiding things.
