Xiaomi is pretty new to the world of smartwatches for a business that has been making phones for more than a decade. The first Mi Watch didn’t come out until 2019, but it has since been swapped out for something that looks more like Samsung’s Galaxy Watch.
That’s what happened with the Watch S1 Pro, which was first presented in China in August 2022 and then released around the world at MWC 2023, six months later. It looks a lot like the Galaxy Watch 5, and it costs about the same. But because of a few major flaws, most people would be better off with a device from Google or Apple.

Design and Display

The style of the Watch S1 Pro isn’t anything special, but it looks like it belongs. Xiaomi chose the usual combination of stainless steel and glass, which makes it feel more expensive and high-end. But there’s only one size—46mm—to choose from. That’s about right for me, but people with smaller wrists might want a different size.
Xiaomi put a 1.47-inch, 480480 screen on the Watch S1 Pro. The screen is fun to use because it uses OLED to show bright colors and dark blacks. The software has been set up to make the most of the latter, so that the dark colors mix in with the black model’s frame. Since the screen is flat instead of curved, you don’t have to worry about tapping steel instead of glass by chance, even though the bezels are very thin. Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro: Battery Life

Moving quickly on, the Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro keeps up the brand’s name for making wearables with batteries that last a long time. With its powerful 500mAh LiPo battery, the smartwatch can be used regularly for up to two weeks. That’s two days longer than the last one. It only takes 95 minutes to go from 0% to 100%, which is pretty cool.
During my tests, we found that the device does what it says it does. But turning on certain settings will affect how long the battery will last. The always-on display is one of the things that uses up the most energy. If you turn this on, it will cut the power life in half.
Price and availability
There is only one 46mm version of the Watch S1 Pro, which costs £299 in the UK or CNY 1,499 on the Xiaomi website. For €299, you can get the watch with a black rubber strap, and for €329, you can get it with a brown leather strap. However, you can’t get it in the US.
Final Words
Definitely, this is a good smartwatch. It could be a good choice if you want something that can properly track your health, is comfortable to wear all day, and will keep going like the Duracell bunny. It’s not perfect, though, because it doesn’t have a single operating system (OS) and you can’t add apps from outside the device.

FAQS
With the brand-new magnetic charging dock for the Xiaomi Watch S1, you can quickly charge your watch no matter where you are. Bluetooth phone calls let you use both hands. With the built-in microphone and speaker, you can answer a call from your phone on your watch with just one touch and talk right into it.
Xiaomi did a great job with the hardware of the Watch S1 Pro, raising the bar for its future smart watches. It didn’t improve the software like it said it would, but the long battery life, good looks, and sturdiness make up for the disappointing app experience.
