How to React to a message with a custom emoji
- Launch the Messenger app and open any chat. Now tap and hold the message you want to react to and an emoji panel will open with six default emojis. Tap any emoji to react with it.
- If you want to react with a custom emoji, tap the “+” icon and an emoji screen will open. Here, select the emoji or you can also search to find the emoji of your choice.
- To add a new emoji to the dashboard, tap Customize at the top, then tap the emoji you want to replace on the dashboard. Now select the emoji you want to replace it with from the menu.
- Tap the checkmark icon or the Done button button to save the changes.
Once that’s done, the new emoji will appear on the panel to react. You can replace them as often as you like. Also, if you want to reset all emoji reactions to default, tap and hold any message, then tap the + icon and then Customize, then the Reset or Reset Text icon to revert to the original set . Tap Done or the checkmark icon to save it.
