If you already have MX installed, you don’t need to do anything. The UI must toggle on its own to activate the new Video tab. How to install MX Player for Firestick

Go to the Find > Search option home your FireStick screen

Look for the Downloader app. When you see it in the search suggestions, click on it and follow the onscreen instructions to install it

Now go back to FireStick home screen and click Settings

Click on My Fire TV

Click Developer Options

Now click on Install Unknown Apps

Select and turn ON the Downloader app

Open the Downloader app now. There is a URL field in the right part of the window. Click inside this field.

You should now see an on-screen keyboard. Go ahead and enter the following URL: firesticktricks.com/mx

Press the Play/Pause key on the FireStick remote or click Go on the screen.

Please wait while Downloader downloads the MX Player APK file to your FireStick device.

When the following screen appears, click Install in the lower right corner

MX Player will now be installed. It takes about a minute or so.

When you see the app installed confirmation, it means MX Player has been installed. No need to click the Open button button as we will barely use this app directly. MX Player is mainly used as a video player for other apps.

Now we are back to the Downloader window. It is better to delete the APK file after installing the app. The file is no longer needed and will unnecessarily take up space on your limited FireStick storage. Click Delete

Click Delete again to confirm your intention to delete the MX Player APK file
