How to Create a Guide of Favorite Posts on Instagram – Guide

Instagram describes guides as “a way to facilitate the discovery of recommendations, tips, and other content from your favorite creators, public figures, organizations and publishers on Instagram.” In addition to allowing you to group and collect your own Instagram content, guides allow you to also bring in content from other accounts.

If you opt for the Locations option, you can choose a location listed on Instagram. Select that location (or place) and upload up to five posts of content related to that location. How to Create one Guide of favorite posts on Instagram

To compose an Instagram guide of your favorite posts, first open the app on your Android or iPhone device. Then navigate to your profile page by tapping the display image icon in the bottom right corner.

Tap the “+” icon in the top right corner of your Instagram profile.

Go to “Guide” found in the menu below.

In the list of options, tap “Posts”.

Now you need to choose which photos and videos you want feature in your guide.

The “Your Posts” tab houses all the media you’ve shared in your grid, and “Saved” consists of the public posts you’ve tagged.

Tapping the three-dot menu icon next to a post will allow you to reorder the list or delete an entry.

When you are satisfied with your guide’s layout, select the “Next” option button again.

Are you ready. You can preview your new guide with “Preview” button. Select “Share” to save it to the dedicated section of your profile for guides.

There are two ways to share your guide: Add it to your stories or forward it to a friend via an Instagram DM. To do this, tap your guide on the Tabs tab of your profile.

Unfortunately, you cannot post your guide in your followers’ feeds yet. What you can do is publish the guide’s link in the description of a post. To copy your guide’s, open it from your profile, and from the three-dot menu, tap “Copy Link”.
