Overall, the Logitech MX Vertical is a good mouse. It has a different vertical shape than normal mouse that tries for a more natural grasp, but it’s bigger and not very portable. It requires some getting accustomed to and isn’t appropriate for all grip styles or for those with small hands. It performs admirably and works with the majority of gadgets. The included software is first-rate, and the mouse works with the majority of systems. A superb mouse for office and multimedia applications is the MX Vertical. Once you get used to it and realise how well-designed the ergonomics are, it can be a useful work partner. It features a fantastic build, superb wireless networking options, and a respectable number of buttons to make your job easier.
The Logitech MX Vertical’s most appealing feature is its ergonomic shape. The mouse’s 57-degree tilt keeps your wrist in a more natural position, which theoretically reduces muscle movement by 10%. Both the thumb nook and the palm rest have non-slip surfaces. The six buttons of the Logitech MX Vertical are. There are three buttons—a left, a right, and a scroll wheel—on the top. Above the thumb nook, there are two configurable buttons, and there is a third customizable button on top.
The Logitech MX Vertical may be connected to up to three different gadgets, and you can switch between them by hitting a button on the bottom of the mouse. Which device the mouse is now linked to is indicated by a light. The Logitech Options software also allows you to swap between profiles. To charge the mouse, there is a USB-C connector on the front. Up to 32 feet can be covered by the wireless connection (10 meters).
You can use the USB-C cable, Bluetooth, or the USB dongle to connect the mouse to your computer. The USB dongle’s size is the only drawback. Since the mouse doesn’t come with a storage space, unless you intend to leave it permanently connected to your computer, you’ll need to come up with a way to keep track of it.
However, the DPI and wifi switching features were occasionally useful. I use a desktop and a laptop at work, and switching between both with the same mouse was much simpler than usual. Of course, the MX Vertical has this capability as well, but if you really want a mouse with this kind of ergonomic design, you may use it on three systems at once without any problems.
Finally, the Logitech MX Vertical has a great battery life. The mouse is roughly halfway through its battery life after being tested for this review for a little more than a week, so you should be able to get between two and a half and three weeks out of a full charge.
