Even though it’s not very pretty, the Vantrue is pretty small for having two cameras, a TFT display, and six buttons for navigating the operating system. The N2 Pro has a small body that is shaped like a barrel. So, when you put it at the top of your windscreen, it doesn’t stick out too much. The design is sturdy enough, but it doesn’t feel as high-quality as Nextbase’s newest models. Attachment is done with a suction mount, but the dash cam slides into it quickly, so you don’t have to mess with the power cable on the unit itself.

The power cable plugs into the mount on the windscreen, which makes it easier to route around the front window. Even though the adapter for the cigarette lighter is permanently attached to this cable, it also has a second USB port where you can plug in your phone or GPS.

The video is saved to the microSD card in a loop. Cameras can record in time-lapse mode. By default, this is set to 3 minutes per clip, but it can be changed to 1 minute, 5 minutes, or turned off. Vantrue says that you should reformat the card every two weeks. This makes the microSD card last longer and makes sure that the footage is good.

The cameras can also see in the dark. An F2.0 6-glass lens with 4 IR LED lights looks at the people in the car, while an F1.8 6-glass lens looks at the road. The Vantrue N2 Pro dash cam is a great product that has many important features for rideshare drivers. However, many drivers say that for the price, it’s missing a few useful features.

It doesn’t come with the optional GPS and speed tracking features, which require a separate part that costs just under $22. The camera doesn’t come with the microSD card you need to record on. The dash cam doesn’t work with SanDisk SD cards, which are some of the most common and inexpensive SD cards.
