This is the kind of thing I’ve been waiting for! The Acer Swift 14 goes beyond the standard black, grey, and silver colour scheme in both appearance and personality. On a smooth flat surface, it has a green anodized lid with sleek bronze accents at the corporate logo and hinge. The sides are a shining metallic silver.
When the cover is popped, the same dark green deck and bronze highlights in the keyboard are revealed. Acer Swift 14: Display
Except for a few instances where my colorimeter wouldn’t capture the contrast ratio, OLED displays that didn’t meet specific criteria worked fine. The vast majority are virtually identical with regards to brightness, colour gamut coverage, accuracy, and contrast. With its high luminance of 523 nits, wide colour gamut of 97% AdobeRGB and 100% DCI-P3, and exceptional contrast ratio of 36,170:1, the Swift Go 14 performed brilliantly in the bulk of the tests.
However, it was rated poorly for colour fidelity with a DeltaE of 5.96. Every other OLED screen we’ve tested has gotten a score of 1.0 or below, which means that the naked eye can’t tell the difference between the two.
