The objective of the game is to fulfill as many orders for food as possible within the allotted amount of time, which forces players to cooperate with one another or compete against one another. Because it is possible to play the game either locally or online, and because it supports up to four players at once, it is a fantastic choice for enjoying an interactive and entertaining time with close friends or members of one’s own family.

  2. Wide range of recipes and challenges
  3. Improved graphics enhance the visual experience
  4. Seamless cross-platform multiplayer

Rayman Legends takes the series back to its 2D beginnings and is a shining illustration of how excellent side-scrolling games can be when developed by imaginative game designers. much though Rayman: Legends already stands out as one of the best single-player experiences in its category, playing it locally with a friend via couch co-op makes it much more delightful.

Up to four players can join in on the action as they bounce through the game’s bouncy environment, cartoon-like aesthetics, and the immensely memorable co-op experience. Rayman Legends is an absolute must have if you’re a fan of 2D side-scrolling games.

The Good

  1. Gorgeous visuals and captivating art style
  2. Highly entertaining cooperative gameplay
  3. Challenging levels provide a satisfying platforming experience

A Way Out

Best Co-Op Games for PS4
FeatureDescription
Co-op StorytellingEmbark on a gripping cooperative adventure, with each player controlling a different character.
Emotional NarrativeExperience a compelling story filled with emotional moments and unexpected twists.
Creative GameplaySolve puzzles, engage in intense action sequences, and make choices that shape the outcome.
Split-Screen or OnlinePlay together locally in split-screen mode or team up online to escape prison and seek revenge.
Dynamic Character BondingWitness the evolving relationship between the two protagonists as they overcome challenges.

A Way Out is not the hard-hitting, serious, and moving story that it seems to be about two prisoners trying to get out of jail. At times, it hits those notes well, but the game’s bad ending, sudden changes in tone, and gimmicky quick-time events kill almost all of the emotion and drama. In the end, its saving grace is that it has fun settings and some clever set pieces.

Like the last game that director Josef Fares made, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, A Way Out has two main characters who go through the story together. Unlike Brothers, though, you’ll need a friend to play A Way Out. The game can only be played with a friend, either in person or online. No matter what you choose, you’ll always play in a split-screen mode that moves between Leo, a stereotypically reckless and aggressive gangster, and Vincent, a more calm-minded family guy.

The Good

  1. Unique and engaging cooperative gameplay
  2. Powerful storytelling with emotional depth
  3. Varied gameplay elements keep the experience fresh
  4. Offers both local and online co-op options

The Bad

  1. Relatively short gameplay length
  2. Limited replayability once the story is completed

Borderlands 3

FeatureDescription
Vast Open WorldExplore diverse and expansive environments filled with enemies, loot, and side quests.
Multiplayer ChaosJoin forces with friends in cooperative play or engage in competitive multiplayer mayhem.

Endless LootDiscover and collect a vast array of loot, including powerful weapons, shields, and mods.

After the disappointing spin-off Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, which came out in 2014, Borderlands 3 is a nice return to form for the series. Fans can play as the main characters from the first two games again, and the game is a mayhem-filled loot-shooter, which is what the series is known for. Borderlands 3 has a lot of the things that made the first two games great, but it also has some of the same problems. Borderlands 3 adds more freedom to how you play compared to the other games in the series, which is a clear improvement.

Borderlands 3 takes place seven years after the events of Borderlands 2. It wraps up most of the stories from the first two games and hints at others that could be explored in the future. Even with these hints, Borderlands 3’s campaign has a clear ending that wraps up the storylines of characters that fans have been following for a decade.

The Good

  1. Immersive open-world experience with stunning visuals
  2. Addictive cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes
  3. Diverse character classes offer varied playstyles
  4. Generous amount of loot and customization options

The Bad

  1. Occasional technical issues and performance hiccups
  2. Humor and writing style may not appeal to everyone
