Apple finally introduced the Always-On Display feature with the launch of the iPhone 14 series. When the Cupertino giant unveiled his AOD at its launch event, some were thrilled and some were perplexed. An always-on display is a far cry from what the world has seen with his minimalist approach to the Android arena.
Now, with his latest iOS 16.2 beta update, Apple has finally introduced customization options to his AODs after months of user complaints. This update also updates Apple Music’s play and shuffle buttons. Always-on display on iPhone 14 Pro is different from Android.
The display is dimmed while the background and other on-screen widgets remain fully visible compared to Android phones, which often adopt a more minimalist style and show notification icons on a black background.
Apple now offers the ability to disable his AOD background in the latest iOS beta. Additionally, if you want to further minimize your AOD usage, you can turn off notifications. This is a welcome move as many users have been frustrated with his Apple Complex AOD since it was first released.
