Even though Apple’s iPhone 15 lineup won’t be unveiled for another 10 months, speculations already indicate that the higher-end Pro models will have even more exclusive features than normal in comparison to the ordinary models in 2019.
Although it’s important to keep in mind that many hardware changes are probably planned at least a few years in advance, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that strong sales of iPhone 14 Pro models would likely encourage Apple to increase differentiation between the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max and the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
At least five features are said to be available only on iPhone 15 Pro versions right now:
A17 processor: The iPhone 15 Pro versions will have an A17 Bionic chip, which offers performance and efficiency enhancements, and is produced using TSMC’s second-generation 3nm process. 2023 may be the second year in a row that Apple’s newest chip is exclusively available in the Pro versions of its new iPhone lineup.
Faster USB-C port: The iPhone 15 Pro models will have a USB-C port that supports at least USB 3.2 or Thunderbolt 3. This will enable the devices to transfer data much more quickly than previous iPhones with Lightning cables. According to Kuo, the USB-C port on the iPhone 15 standard model will only support USB 2.0 speeds, such as Lightning.
More memory: The iPhone 15 Pro model will have 8GB of memory, although the ordinary model might still have 6GB of memory. By keeping more content active in the background, greater RAM enables apps like Safari to avoid having to reload when you close and reopen the app.
The volume and power buttons on the iPhone 15 Pro models will be solid-state, according to Kuo. His two extra Taptic Engine gadgets, like the home button on the most recent iPhone SE and the trackpad on his new MacBook, offer haptic feedback that mimics the sensation of hitting a button without making a physical movement.
the iPhone 15 Pro Max will feature a better optical zoom lens that will be installed, and it will also have a periscope telephoto lens. As opposed to the 3x optical zoom on the iPhone 14 Pro model, this might lead to a gadget with at least a 10x optical zoom.
