How to add columns in Android’s Google Sheets – Guide

- Open Sheets. It is the green icon with a white outline of a spreadsheet. You will usually find it on the home screen or in the application drawer.

Select a sheet. If you don’t want to use an existing sheet, tap the + in the lower-right corner of the screen, then tap New Sheet.

Tap a column letter. You’ll want to tap the letter in a column next to where you want to add a new one. This selects the entire column. For example, if you want to add a new column before (or after) column D, tap column D. If you want to add a column to the left of column A, tap column A.

Tap +. It is in the upper right corner of the screen. A menu will appear.
- Scroll down and tap Left Column or Right Column. Left Column adds a new column to the left of the selected column. Right Column adds a new column to the right of the selected column.
