iTunes is a media player, media library, internet radio station, mobile device management utility and client application for iTunes Store developed by Apple Inc. It is used to buy, play, download and organize digital multimedia on PCs running macOS and Windows operating systems and can be used to copy music from CDs and play them content using dynamic and smart playlists. Until the release of iOS 5 in 2011, all iPhones, iPod Touches and iPads required iTunes to be activated and updated mobile applications. How to Add a ringtone to iPhone without iTunes

Before we start adding your touch, there are a few things you need to do first.

The song you want to set as a ringtone must be downloaded to your phone and saved to your iPhone Music Library. Alternatively, you can import and save music to your Apple files. Make sure you do this. Otherwise, the following steps will not work.

You will also need to have the Garageband app installed on your iPhone. Garageband is an application designed for use on Apple devices such as iPhones, iPads and Mac computers and allows users to create podcasts and music files. It usually comes as a native app, but you can download it for free from the app store if you don’t have it.

To use iTunes to create your ringtone, you’ll first need to customize a song before setting it as your ringtone.

Creating Your New Ringtone on Your iPhone

Open the Garageband app.

Then open the “Tracks” section and swipe until you find “Battery”. Now, tap “Smart Battery” and select “Display” button to take you to the editing section. Apple portrays this button as a series of longer and shorter lines.

Next, you will need to tap the “Loop” icon at the top of the screen. This button lets you browse your music.

Press the “Play” button button scroll through the track to see where you want the music to start playing when your phone rings. When you’re satisfied with the pin’s location, double-click the song. A selection of options will appear. up. Choose “Split”. Then drag the scissors icon down to cut your music at the selected point.

Now double-tap the part of the song you don’t want to keep. A menu will appear up. Select “Delete” to remove it from the workspace.

Then tap the down arrow in the upper left corner of the screen. Then from the menu, choose “My Music”.

Tap and hold on the music project and choose “Share. ” From the menu, select “Ring” followed by “Continue”. Then name the song. Then select “Export”. This will save your new ringtone.

An option will come then up to “Use sound like.” If you click on it, you can set the song as your ringtone or assign it to a contact. Alternatively, tap “Ok” to save the ringtone so that you can manually set it at a later stage.

It’s important to note that when you export music, your iPhone automatically cuts it to 30 seconds. So if you only want a snippet of music to play (less than 30 seconds), you’ll need to cut it off on both sides. This allows you to create the desired segment. To do this, repeat steps 5 through 7.
