How to Disable or Change the Mail Signature on Windows 10 – Guide
The Mail app on Windows 10 is a good email client that allows you to add email accounts other than Microsoft’s. However, you’ll notice that every email you write in the Mail app comes with a default signature.
Microsoft assumes that you want everyone to know that you are using the Mail program by including a “Sent from Mail for Windows 10” signature on all of your emails, including those from non-Microsoft accounts. It’s simple to update or disable the subscription for each account whether you prefer to use a custom subscription or none.
Open the Mail app and click the settings gear icon at the bottom of the window. A settings panel will appear on the right side of the app. In the middle of the panel is the Subscription option. Click here to enter subscription settings.
Mail organizes these settings by account. If you want your changes to affect all accounts in the Mail application, check the Apply to all accounts box. If you don’t want to use a signature at all, turn off the slider labeled Use an email signature.
Otherwise, you can click on the text entry box below the slider, delete what’s there, and type in your own signature. Although you can only see one line in the settings panel, you can still add multiple lines to your signature. The one I normally use, for example, has three lines: my name, title, and contact information. The Mail app doesn’t support rich text signatures, such as an embedded link to your website or Twitter account.
Once you’ve filled out your signature, click anywhere else in the email app to close it. Your subscription has been changed. If you want to try it out, click New Email to start a new message and see what the signature looks like.
