How to Download Videos from Pinterest – Guide

Liked a Pinterest video but don’t know how to download? The social network offers various content, such as recipes, tips and tutorials, and allows you to save photos or illustrations directly to your phone or computer. However, this fast feature is not available for motion videos. When you’re on Pinterest, it’s easy to get lost in all the concepts, ideas, and stories shared by other creatives.

If you want to share your own images, videos, or stories, it’s no doubt useful to save what you’ve learned from others (hence the Pinterest Pin feature). Of course, you can save posts to any Pinterest board you have. But if you download them to your desktop or mobile device, they may be more affordable in the long run.

Downloading videos from Pinterest to your Phone

Open the post on Pinterest

When opening the video post on Pinterest, select the icon with the facing arrow up at the bottom of your phone screen and select “Copy link”. This will copy the link to the post, which we will need for the next steps.

Go to Pinterest Video Downloader

Go to pinterestvideodownloader.com in your website browser (Safari, Google Chrome, etc) and paste the post link in the bar.

Tap and hold the “Download video file” button

When finished downloading, tap and hold the “Download video file” button and select “Download linked file” from the drop-down menu. This will automatically save the video file in the Downloads folder of the Files app.

Open the post on Pinterest and copy the link to that post in the URL bar at the top of the web browser

Go to Pinterest Video Downloader

In another tab, access the Pinterest video downloader by typing pinterestvideodownloader.com in the URL bar and paste the post link in the bar by right clicking and selecting “Paste link”.

Click the green “Download video file” button Button.

When the video link finishes loading, click the green “Download Video File” button button. This will open a new window where your video was downloaded.

Right-click and select “Save As”.

In the new window that opened, right-click anywhere on the screen where your video is located to open the drop-down menu and click “Save As”.

Click “Save” and you’re done!

Depending on your intention, you can either rename your video file or keep it as is. Once you are satisfied with the video file name, click “Save” and you are done! Your file should be saved wherever you set the location. In the screenshot below, the file has been saved in the “Downloads” folder.
