CATCH AN PICTURE USING THE RESTRICT EDITING FEATURE IN MICROSOFT WORD

The restricted edition feature allows users to protect an image using a password. However, using this feature it also blocks the other contents of the document. Therefore, this method is only advisable when the Word document is shared with third parties and you do not want any changes. It works like this:

Step 1: Launch Microsoft Word on your computer.

Step 2: From the Ribbon tab, select Insert.

Step 3: Select the images and choose Insert image from your PC, online or image bank.

Step 4: Once your image is in the document, click on the Review tab.

Step 5: Select Protect and then Restrict Editing. This starts a side panel in the document.

Step 6: On the side panel, check one or all of the following boxes

Step 7: Select Yes, Start Applying Protection at the bottom of the menu to open a dialog.

Step 8: In the dialog, provide a password for the document and select OK to save your changes.

Step 1: Launch Microsoft Word on your computer.

Step 2: From the Ribbon tab, select Insert.

Step 3: Select the images and choose Insert image from your PC, online or from image bank.

Step 4: Once your image is in the document, right click on it to reveal a menu.

Step 5: Select Wrap Text and choose any of the text wrapping styles except In line with text, which is the default setting for all placed images.

Step 6: Select the image and a semicircle should appear up.

Step 7: Select the semicircle and mark the circle next to Pin position to page to ensure your image remains fixed.
