Adding Gmail Account to Outlook for the Web

Go to outlook.live.com and log in with your Microsoft account. Then, in the toolbar options, click on the ‘Settings’ gear icon near the top right.

A sliding panel will open on the right side of the screen. Select/click the ‘View all Outlook settings’ option at the bottom of the Settings pane.

In the Outlook settings screen, the ‘Mail’ tab will open by default. Click on the ‘Sync Email’ option in the Mail menu options to proceed.

In the ‘Sync Email’ setting, you will see two options, to add a ‘Gmail’ account or ‘Other email accounts’. As we are focused on Gmail, select ‘Gmail’ from the list.

The first section is to enter a display name for your account, which will be visible to others. Then you have to select whether you just want to send emails using Outlook or import your emails from Gmail as well. The first option is selected by default. The last section is making a choice between creating a new folder for Gmail or using existing folders.
