Apple says the Unity Lights Watch Face and its Black Unity Braided Solo Loop were inspired by Afrofuturism, a philosophy that explores black culture. This watch face features 2D ray tracing for the first time. Available in full screen or circular dials, Unity Lights has a red and green light emanating from the edges of each watch hand. Additionally, Apple highlights black artists on Apple Music, News, Books & Podcasts, Books, TV, including special episodes of The Message on Apple Music 1.
Unity Lights also includes a black and white option. Starting January 26, 2022, the Unity Lights watch face will be available and requires an Apple Watch Series 4 or later with watchOS 8.3 and an iPhone 6s or later with iOS 15.2.
