How to Merge PowerPoint Presentations – Guide
With Microsoft PowerPoint you can combine two or more presentations with different design templates. PowerPoint includes an option to keep source formatting, which preserves the template format for each slide. For example, an Ion template presentation showing your current products might include some Organic template slides promoting your future products to help your customers see the contrast between your current products. PowerPoint presentations are common in many workspaces, and slides and files often need to be combined. If you need to use slides from two or more PowerPoint presentations for your homework or an Office presentation, there are several options. You can insert individual slides, import entire presentations, or simply merge two presentations.
Awkward transitions between Microsoft PowerPoint presentations can be a deciding factor. After your own presentation is over and you sit down, your client may lose interest in what your company has to offer while your colleague’s presentation loads. By combining two presentations into a seamless whole, the transition is smooth and both look professional. In PowerPoint you can use slide reuse feature to compose individual presentations and keep the original formatting for each presentation. You can also use merge feature to compare two presentations and choose what to keep or discard.
How to Combine PowerPoint presentation files
Choose presentation files to merge
Add the slides to be merged
Set the theme for the combined PowerPoint presentation
Switch to the presentation file you want to add the slides to and right-click in the sidebar. There are two options I want you to check for merging presentations.
The first option is Use target theme. Go ahead and choose. This option makes the slides we’re pasting match the theme of the presentation we’re pasting them into. This is usually a good option, so that the merged slides fit together perfectly. To use the second option, right-click to choose the second thumbnail.
Select the Keep source formatting option. This option takes the slides and uses the same theme used in the source document, or basically the original theme.
