The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) recently announced that a person can apply for an Aadhaar PVC card for all family members with a single mobile phone number. UIDAI made this possible, as now any mobile phone number can be used to generate OTP for online authentication. However, UIDAI clarified that users must pay Rs 50 for each PVC Aadhaar card order. Users should note that in addition to being easy to carry and durable, the Aadhaar PVC card has a secure QR code digitally signed with photo and demographic details with multiple security features. The Aadhaar PVC Card can be ordered online at uidai.gov.in or resident.uidai.gov.in using the Aadhaar Number, Virtual ID or Registration ID. Users can do this by paying a nominal fee of Rs 50.

In addition, the Aadhaar PVC Card will be delivered to the resident’s address by express courier. In addition, UIDAI has also enabled cardholders to complete the authentication process by receiving their OTP at any mobile number instead of just the registered one mobile number, the agency said in a tweet last week. “You can use any mobile number to get #OTP for #authentication regardless of mobile number registered with your #Aadhaar. How to order Aadhaar PVC card online

To apply for the Aadhaar PVC card for yourself or another family member, you can log in to the UIDAI direct link — myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/genricPVC and follow the steps mentioned below. guide:

Enter the Aadhaar number.

Type CAPTCHA.

Click on the ‘Send OTP’ option.

Type OTP and click the checkbox under “Terms and Conditions”.

Click “Send” button to complete the OTP verification.

Now the Aadhaar details view will be available on your computer monitor.

Click on “Make Payment”.

You will be redirected to the Payment Gateway page with payment options such as Credit/Debit Card, Net banking and UPI.

Upon successful payment, a digitally signed receipt will be generated that can be downloaded by the resident in PDF format. The resident will also receive the service request number via SMS which can be used to check the delivery status of the Aadhaar PVC card.
