HBO Go is an app that lets you watch web series, movies, comedy shows, sports, documentaries and more. The app allows HBO subscribers to easily stream VOD (video on demand) content. HBO Go is available for all platforms such as Android, Windows, iOS, iPad and Amazon Fire TV Stick. Just connect your Chromecast to the TV and sync it with Google Home application on the same wireless network. After defining the hardware and application up, it’s easy to watch by tapping the streaming icon in the upper right corner of the HBO Go app or Chrome browser.

How to watch HBO go through the Chromecast using a computer

  • Open your computer or Chromebook and log into HBOGo.com using the Google Chrome browser.
  • If you haven’t added the “Cast” button to the Chrome toolbar, select “More” button in the upper right corner of the browser window and choose the “Broadcast” option from the drop-down menu.
  • Since the “Cast” button appears in the toolbar, or if you have already added it, click on button to start launching.
  • Select your TV device from the dropdown menu that appears.
  • On your laptop or Chromebook, start watching a show and wait for it to appear on your TV screen.
  • click on the cast button in the browser window and select “Stop Streaming” when finished watching.

  • Open the HBO Go app on your iPhone or Android.
  • Log in to your HBO Go account if you aren’t already.
  • Select the program or movie you want to launch and start playing it.

  • A list of places you can stream to will be displayed. Select your TV.
  • The show will appear on your TV screen and in the cast button it will turn blue to indicate its functioning.
  • To end a transmission, simply tap the “Transmit” icon again and select “Disconnect” from the drop-down menu that appears.
