Open the Google Play Store. PPSSPP is a PSP emulator and can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store. You will not need any additional files or applications (except games).
Search for “ppsspp” in the Store. You will see several options in the search results.
Select the “PPSSPP” option. There is a “PPSSPP Gold” app, but it is functionally identical to the standard version. Download the free version first to see if it works on your device, then you can buy the Gold version later if you want to support the developer.

Update your PSP to version 6.60.
Download PRO-C Fix3 on your computer. This is the custom firmware installer for the PSP.
Copy the downloaded folders to the GAME folder on your PSP Memory Stick.
Run “Pro Update” from your PSP’s Game menu to install custom firmware.
Run “CIPL_Flasher” to make the custom firmware permanent. This will save you from having to recharge it every time you restart your PSP.
Enter the UMD you want to dump on your PSP. You can convert any UMD disc into an ISO file, which can be copied to your Android device and played in PPSSPP.
Press the Select button button while in the PSP’s main menu. This will open the special custom firmware PRO VSH menu.
Select “USB DEVICE” option and switch to “UMD Disc”. This will make the disk appear on the computer instead of the Memory Stick when you connect the PSP to the computer.
Connect the PSP to your computer. Use the USB cable that came with your PSP to connect them.
Open the “Settings” menu from the PSP’s main menu and select “Initialize USB Connection”. Your PSP will appear connected to your computer. Normally, the correct folder will open automatically. If it doesn’t, open Computer/This PC and select the drive which is a jumble of letters and numbers.
Click and drag the ISO file from your PSP to your computer. It may take a few minutes for the file to be copied. You now have a complete copy of the UMD on your computer in the form of an ISO file.
Connect your Android device to your computer. You will need to transfer your PSP ISO files to your Android storage to load them into PPSSPP.
Open your Android on your computer. You will find Android in your Computer/This PC window.
Create a folder called “PSP” and then create a subfolder called “GAME”. This will mimic the same folder structure on your PSP.
Copy your ISO files to the GAME folder on your Android. The copy process will likely take a while to complete.
Disconnect your Android from the computer. After copying the ISO files to the PSP/GAME/ folder, you can disconnect Android from your computer.
Start PPSSPP. You will be greeted by the PPSSPP main menu.
Tap “PSP” and then “GAME” to see all your ISO files. All game files that you copied from your computer will be listed here.
Tap on a game to start it. The game will start to load and if your device is powerful enough it will start. You can control the game using the screen buttons.
If the game does not load, there are two main possibilities: either the game is not supported by PPSSPP (not all are), or your Android device is not powerful enough to run it.
