Tasker is a pretty powerful app, even for non-root phones, and I used it a lot. I will detail the entire process step by step, so even if you have never used Tasker before, you can get it up and running in no time.

  • First, download Tasker on your phone. It’s a paid app, but there’s a 7-day free trial that you can download here. Also, go to the Files app and create a new folder where you want your screenshots to be saved. I’m creating a Screenshots folder in the root directory.
  • Launch the application and click the button button In the lower right corner. Now, tap on Event.
  • Tap File and then Modified file.
  • On the next screen, tap on the search icon , click on DCIM
  • Then press long hard Screenshots to select the folder.
  • Once that’s done, just press the back button in the upper left corner of the app.
  • Now tap on button New homework that automatically appears and gives any name to the task. I go with the screenshot motion. Later, tap the checkmark.
  • On the next screen, tap the + button in the lower left corner and select File.
  • Tap List Files and then the search icon next to `Dir.
  • Go to DCIM and then press and hold swamp catches.
  • Under the heading Variable, enter something like files (don’t remove the sign %) and press the back button button in the upper left corner. Tasker can tell you a few things about local and global variables, just click OK.
  • tighten button again and once again press File.
  • Select Move and click the Variable icon.
  • Here, select the %variable files we just created and add a file.
  • Then tap the Search icon next to To and long press the Screenshots folder we created at the beginning. Once that’s done, press the back button in the upper left corner.
  • Your task should look like the screenshot below. If not, you can change things as per the steps outlined above.
  • Once it matches, just hit the back button in the upper left corner again and make sure the task is enabled.
