How to Schedule WhatsApp Messages on Android – Guide
WhatsApp offers many features, however the option to schedule WhatsApp messages is still missing. On both Android and iPhone, there are ways to schedule messages on WhatsApp, but both are workarounds because this feature is not officially supported by WhatsApp. There are some restrictions on the solutions we are providing because they are workarounds, which we will go through later. Here it is how to schedule whatsapp messages on android.
How to schedule whatsapp message on android
Go to Google Play Store > download and install SKEDit > open the app.
After the first launch you will have to sign up.
After logging in, you have to tap on WhatsApp in the main menu.
On the next screen, you must grant permissions. Tap Enable Accessibility > SKEDit > toggle Use Service > Allow. Now, go back to the app.
Now you will have to fill in the details. Add the recipient, enter your message, set the schedule date and time, and select whether to repeat the scheduled message or not.
Below you will see a final switch — Ask me before sending. Activate it > tap the tick icon > your message will now be scheduled. Whenever the day and time of your scheduled message arrives, you will receive a notification on your phone prompting you to complete the action. Tap Send and you will see your scheduled message being sent in real time.
However, if you keep the Ask before sending option turned off, in that case, when you tap the select icon, you will be asked to turn off your phone’s screen lock. You will also be asked to disable your phone’s battery optimization as well. By doing this, your scheduled message will be sent automatically, which means that you will not be prompted for any input to the phone, making the process instantaneous. But then again, not having a screen lock affects your phone’s privacy, which is a big disadvantage. That’s why we don’t recommend scheduling WhatsApp messages in this way.
One more thing to note is that you can only schedule WhatsApp messages for up a week ago, which is kind of boring, but at least now you know at least how to schedule a message to up one week ago.
