How to share screen on Zoom on desktop and mobile – Guide

Also, you can share your iPhone or Android phone screen if you do not have access to a full computer screen at the time of the call. How to share screen in Zoom on desktop and mobile

Open up Zoom in on your computer and make sure you are logged in.

On the main page, you will see the option to join a meeting, host a meeting, schedule a meeting, or Share Screen. Select Share Screen.

when choosing Share Screen, Zoom will ask you to enter your share key or meeting ID. Enter any of the identifiers and you will immediately start sharing your screen with others in that meeting.

Share screen on android:

Things are subtly different on Zoom Mobile – mainly because sharing your screen means everything on it, so proceed with caution.

When connected to a meeting, tap the screen to bring up up the menu below your profile. press share button.

Swipe down until you reach “Screen”. Tap on it.

Zoom will give you the same notice we did above – basically, everything including passwords, photos and bank details will be displayed to everyone if they are on screen. Press “Start Now” if you’re happy with that.

If this is your first time sharing your screen on mobile, you may need to adjust your security settings to allow it to work. On Android, the “Appear on top” menu is displayed and you must allow Zoom permission for this by checking the box below. Once done, press the back arrow in the upper left corner to return to the app.

When you’re done sharing, press the dim gray arrow at the bottom left of the screen to bring up up the menu.

Press the big red box with “Stop Share” on it, and your screen’s live feed will end.

Share screen on iPhone:

Once again, things are subtly different again for iOS. See how it works with your iPhone.

Firstly, it is better to fix your iPhone settings in advance. Go to the Settings app, press “Control Center” and then “Customize Controls”.

Scroll down to “Screen Recorder” and press the little green plus sign on the left.

Now connect to your Zoom meeting. Tighten “Share Happy” button in the middle of the control bar at the bottom of the screen.

Select “Screen” from the menu that appears later.

Now you need to access the Control Center. On older iPhones, this involves swiping up from the bottom, but on newer models you have to swipe down from the top right.

Now hold the record button and the Screen Recording options will show up.

Tap “Zoom”.

Tap “Start Broadcasting”.

When you’re done sharing, tap the red bar at the top of the screen and tap “Stop”.
