How to sync your Google Calendar to Outlook.com

  • Open Google Calendar.
  • In the left column, hover your mouse over the calendar you want to add to Outlook.
  • Click on the three dots next to the calendar.
  • Select “Settings and Sharing.”
  • On the Settings page, scroll to the “Integrate Calendar” section.
  • Copy the “Secret Address in iCal Format” link.
  • Log into Outlook.com and click the calendar icon on the left sidebar.
  • Click on “Add Calendar”.
  • Choose “Subscribe via the web” in the left column.
  • Paste the link “Secret address in iCal format”.
  • Give the calendar a title and click “Import”.

  • Go to https://calendar.google.com.
  • Click the gear icon in the upper right corner.
  • Select “Settings” from the drop-down menu that appears.
  • Choose “Import and Export” from the left sidebar.

  • Start Microsoft Outlook.
  • Click on “File” in the top menu bar.
  • Select Open and Export on the left sidebar.
  • Click on the “Import / Export” option.
  • No pop-up window that appears, click “Import an iCalendar (.ics) or vCalendar (.vcs) file” before selecting “Next”.
  • In the file window, locate and select the zipped folder you downloaded for Google Calendar before clicking “Open.”
  • Choose “Import” in the window that appears to bring your Google Calendar items into your Microsoft Calendar. You can also choose to create a new calendar in Outlook.

  • Start Microsoft Outlook.
  • Click “Outlook” on the top toolbar.
  • Select “Preferences” from the drop-down menu.
  • Choose “Accounts”.
  • Click on the “+” icon at the bottom of the left sidebar.
  • Select “New Account”.
  • In the login window that appears, enter the Gmail account associated with Google Calendar you want to sync and press “Continue”.
  • Choose “Continue” to authorize your Gmail account to be synced to the Microsoft cloud.
  • A new browser window will open with a list of your Google Accounts. Select the email account you want to sync with Outlook.
  • On the next page, click “Allow” to allow Microsoft Apps & Services access to your Google Calendar.
  • Select “Open Microsoft Account” on the pop-up window that appears.
  • Click “Done” after your account is added.
  • Click the Calendar icon at the bottom of the left sidebar in Outlook to see Google Calendar events in Microsoft Calendar.
