Connect your iPhone to Mac with the USB cable and unlock iPhone.
Open the Photos app on your Mac. You can find it by searching Spotlight, in your Dock, or by opening the Applications folder and selecting the Photos app.
Your iPhone should already be selected in the browser on the left of the Photos page. If not, select your iPhone.
Select the photos you want to import by clicking on them.
Click on the Import button button on the top.

If you have a PC with an older version of Windows, Auto Play will appear up when iPhone is connected to the computer with a USB cable. On a Windows 8 PC, your computer will detect the device and provide a pop-up that says “Tap to choose what will happen with this device”. When you click on that pop-up, you will see the Import Photos & Videos option to let you move photos and videos from iPhone to PC. The rest of the process should be very similar to what is shown below for Windows 10. If in doubt, look for the Import item button!

On your iPhone, a pop-up will ask if you want to allow the computer to access the iPhone. Tap Allow.
On your Windows computer, the Photos application may start automatically. Otherwise, start the Photos program using the Windows Start menu or the search bar.

In the import settings menu, you’ll see where the photos will be saved and a Change import destination link if you want to change where the photos imported from iPhone are saved on your PC.
Click Done to return to the image selection screen.
After selecting the images you want, click the Import button. button.
Once imported, you can view the photos in the Photos application’s Collections menu or select the Album icon in the left sidebar to view specific albums.
Connect your iPhone to your Windows computer with the cable, unlock iPhone and tap Allow as above.
On your Windows computer, navigate to This PC. You should see your iPhone listed under Devices and Drives.
Right-click on iPhone and from the context menu select Import Photos & Videos.
You can import all new items or click Review to organize and group the items to be imported. I recommend selecting Review because the automatic arrangement may not be optimal.
The More Options link at the bottom gives you options to change where files are saved, but for most users the default Images folder is fine.
Click Next and your computer will scan your iPhone for images and videos.
In the next window, select the items you want to import.
A slider at the bottom of the menu changes the way images are grouped into folders, for example by hour, hour, day, month or year. You can swipe all the way to the right to save them all in one folder.
Click Import when you are ready to transfer the images.
