But how features available in Free MX Player, not found in others. So, if you are already using MX Player, please follow the steps below to show the hidden videos and audios without unlocking and show the files and folder.

How to Hide or block videos in MX Player on Android via private folder

Recently there is a new feature called “Private Folder” in MX Player which allows you to block or hide your important videos from others. Keep in mind that whenever you block a video in MX Player, that particular video cannot be accessed through My File (File Manager), Gallery, or other video players.

Here it is how to lock or hide videos in MX Player using private folder feature:

Open MX Player, tap the hamburger menu and select Private Folder.

Tap the + icon in the lower right corner.

Now select the video you want to lock or hide and tap ADD NOW at the bottom of the screen.

Create a PIN and tap Continue.

Enter your email address, tap Continue and you’re done.

Now your video is locked in a private folder in MX player and no one can find or play it. To view your locked video, tap Burger menu > Private Folder > Enter PIN.

How to Show or unlock videos in MX Player on Android via private folder

Open MX Player.

Tap the burger menu and select Private Folder.

Enter the PIN.

Tap the three dots next to the video and select Unlock.

Finally, select UNLOCK.

Lock videos in MX Player by renaming the file

Open MX Player and find the video you want to hide.

Tap the three dots next to the video and select Rename.

Now add a period (.) to the beginning of the filename and tap OK.

if you are in home MX Player page, tap the hamburger menu and select Local Player Settings.

Tap List.

Here, uncheck the option that says Show hidden files and folders. This will also hide the file from the file manager.

To unhide video in MX Player: Similar to hiding videos, unhiding individual videos in MX Player takes barely a minute. All you have to do is undo what you did in the previous steps.
