How to use HDR mode to take photos on your iPhone – Guide
HDR is a perfect feature for landscape photography. Scenes such as landscapes are often high contrast, with the foreground color much darker than the sky.
Without HDR, you get one of two image types: either the subject is perfectly lit but the rest of the image is washed out in the image, or the background of your photo is very well lit but the foreground is darker and slightly out of focus.
Here it is how to turn your iPhone’s HDR feature on and off.
First, check your phone is already automatically set to HDR. Go to your phoneGeneral Settings and scroll or search for “Camera. ” Make sure not to tap the option listed under “Privacy”.
Under Camera settings, go to the final. If the slider beside “Smart HDR” is green, it means your camera has already been set to take HDR photos automatically depending on lighting. You can tap this slider to rotate the feature on (green) or off (grey) – leave it off here if you prefer to decide when to use and not to use HDR.
So open the Camera application. “HDR” should appear in the upper right corner. You can control whether or not to use the feature touching “HDR”.
Now you can turn HDR on and off!
