How to Use Hide My Email Feature in the Mail App – Guide
You can create unique, random email addresses that forward to your personal inbox whenever you want to keep your personal email address private with iOS 15 and Hide My Email feature limited to iCloud+ subscribers. Hide My Email is available directly from the Mail app on iOS 15.2, which is currently in beta.
When you turn on Hide my email, all email sent to your Apple-created email account is routed to you so you can react if necessary, but the recipient never sees your real email address.
This is especially important if you believe a company will share your email address with advertising agencies or third parties for marketing purposes. If you provide them with a fictitious address, you can delete it at any time, ensuring that no unsolicited email enters your inbox.
See how it works with the Mail app on iOS 15.2.
- Open the Mail app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap the New Message icon in the lower right corner of the Mail main screen to compose a message in the normal way.
- Fill in the To: field. Then tap the Cc / Bc, From: field to collapse it and tap From again.
- Scroll to the final from the list of available addresses and select Hide my email.
- Now compose your email normally and send it.
Also, as a paid subscriber of iCloud+, you can use random email addresses when prompted to enter your email address on a website in Safari. Just select the Hide my email option when it appears on the screen.
